Your all time favourite sporting moments and why

John Landy in the Australian 1 mile championship jumped over a fallen Ron Clarke spiking him on the leg,he stopped, helped clarke up,then chased the field, caught them. ,winning in a time just outside the 4 minute mile (which hadn't been acheived at that point of time.)

    Most Disgraceful Sporting Moment

McCaw the great NEW Zealand captain,he is so good he manages to pull the wool over all referees eyes and gets away with more professional fouls in one game than most players do in a full career.:@

If there is a more gutsy sportsman on this planet than Ryley Batt ( who plays for the Australian Wheelchair Rugby team) I have yet to see him,I have NEVER seen a person put so much effort into a sport as Ryley did in Beijing, he only got a Silver Medal, but he deserved a Platinum Medal.

***Rugby League World Cup 2008 Thread***

How anyone who has any understanding of the game can visulise Australia not winning this cup, especially on home soil,is beyond comprehension, and what fragment of opposition that will be put against them wont come from the poms, rather the Kiwis, who,in my opinion are coming on in leaps and...

    Most hated sporting team

Hate is a very harsh word,My main dislike is the English (League of Nations) cricket team, they cant find a team of Englismen good enough to represent their country, and worse still the garbage that do represent England are the most overated team of any sport in the world. :@

    A.F.L Thread

What a hammering Adelaide Crows dished out last night to the West Coast Eagles--by over 70 points, the alarm bells must start ringing for WCE,they are obviously nothing without Judd and Cousins,Adelaide are notoriously short of top quality ruckmen, yet they absolutely thrashed Cox last night.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the greatest player ever to wear soccer boots,I know he left a lot to be desired OFF the field, but ON the field he was just POETRY IN MOTION. Georgie Best John Charles Mohammed Ali

Which country has had the best sporting history

You are certainly right there, just lookat the following Quote. "Binge drinking and teenage pregnancies are the only games the English invented where they are still ranked No.1 in the world, and like some of the dregs who shouted "cheat" at Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq, some of us would be...

Who are the biggest chokers in World Sport?

English Cricket cannot be classed as "chokers"...the simple reason being,....a choker team is a top team that can't quite make it at the top level, unfortunately,England are NOT a top team, therefore cannot be accused of choking.8-) 8-)

    British Athletics

IMO in England a sport becomes popular immediately an Englishman (or woman) begins to excell at this sport,ie Formula 1 is rapidly shooting up the scale due to the success of Hamilton, and Rowing is on the rise because of recent results,as is cycling...I also remember Cricket wasquite down in...

I'm pretty new to this forum, and I have just read this section,(all 9 pages ) and I find it amazing that no one has found Syncronised swimming as boring, this, along with water polo, horse racing, baseball, gridiron(how I detest this apology for sport) and Ice hockey, I find boring, and are never...

Biggest plodders in international cricket history.

When I hear the word "plodder" at cricket,I think of batsmen who are painfully slow at scoring runs, and who have only a small range of strokes, and to me, the worst two I have seen in my lifetime are unquestionably,...Bill Lawry & Trevor Bailly,..they bored me to tears.
