    Seeding is irrelevant if you're looking for a outright winner as whoever they play they'll beat regardless. In a knockout, only 1 place can be determined so it doesn't matter either way. Seeding just makes the first round a procession

I find it ironic that you think that seeding increases the competitive match ups when by definition you are actually reducing the competitivity by fixing the draw in...

    If you seed you end up with the majority of matches being one sided because the whole nature of seeding means you bias the draw. As it happens the relative lack of seeding (ie only 4) has meant some better match ups but even now it's a lot of pointless votes.
