Didn't realise he was that old. Revise my offer to a third round pick.

Cricket Web's Review of Ashes Cricket 2009

Eek, sounds technical. Until this gen of consoles I liked them because you just plugged the things in once, then plugged in your catridge or CD and that was it - there was nothing else you needed to do. Will have to dig out the box to see whether I got a wireless receiver, and configure it and...

Cricket Web's Review of Ashes Cricket 2009

Will the patch be automatically included in new versions from hereon in. Otherwise, is it DLC for the 360? Have to get my 360 online.

Would offer you a swap of our second round pick for your third round. Probably not reflective of his upside, but the guy's had issues in the past, him wanting to leave the Bombers isn't a great sign, and with the upcoming compromised drafts, there ain't going to be a lot of love. Can't think...

One wonders how they manage to fit him, Judd, Fev, Murphy, Gibbs in the cap, and presumably plan to pay Kreuzer enough to retain him as well. Stevens would have been on a decent package when he defected as well, although that's probably been revised by now. One hesitates to suggest that a team...

*Official* Australia in England T20s and ODIs

Been a pretty strident defender of Clarke's spot in the team, but innings of 52of 90+ balls when most other batsmen scored at SRs of at least 66 doesn't help the argument. On the other hand really pleased White did so well. Good to see Watto getting some wickets as well. Maybe Clarke is...

Trav is a bit different from Jason. Jason was someone who was briefly successful in a specific role based largely on his preparedness to give it his all - Travis also has his success when he's been fully committed, but he has a bit more natural talent than Jason. Cameron's actually kicked on a...

That's the conclusion I came to today, although not by such a big margin as you're suggesting. Fev's very good, and would complement either one of Brown or Riewoldt more than those two complement each other - that said, I still think the Brown-Riewoldt combination would be stronger.

You're dreaming - the guy's not even convinced he wants to go on next year. Bet you he doesn't kick more than 36 goals next year if he does. Jack Anthony and Travis Cloke will be better than Lloyd next year.

Was thinking today, if you could have two out of the three of J. Brown, Riewoldt and Fevola, which would you take?

    A.F.L Thread

Why on Earth would we do that. It's not like we're lacking in tall forward options, or that Lloyd is on anything other than his last year as a player (with a few games of suspension left to serve anyhow). As if he'd ever do it anyway.

    Killing Oneday cricket?

And you're entitled to your opinion I guess. I've just heard this option put forward a bit without ever having heard the rationale as to why it would be more interesting - other than a fleeting novelty value. Given I can't see any benefit myself, would need to hear some kind of decent reason to...

Riewoldt did bizarrely poorly in the polling however. It's a toss up as to whether he or Ablett are the MVP and not saying that Gary Jnr didn't deserve to win it, but not sure how not only did Swan and Judd beat Nick, but all three almost doubled his votes. Johnno Brown not getting more...

Don't know - Kayne Pettifer and Dean Brogan have been getting away with it for years.

    Some perspective.

Yeah, you're worth talking to. Post reported. Sadly will miss your next two threads on the same topic given you're going on the ignore list til you bring about your own banning.

    Killing Oneday cricket?

Never understand why spliting ODI innings in half would make the game more exciting.

Meh, I made my points the first time you made this inaccurate comparison. Be buggered if I'll do it again.

    Killing Oneday cricket?

At the risk of getting out. Either way, we get faster scoring or wickets falling. 3 men out is still a decent number.

    Killing Oneday cricket?

But it's still a risk to hit it in the air against spinners - albeit a controlled risk. And you'll still have to have the two catching men in as well. Spinners might go for a bit more, but they might also take a few more wickets. Again, it should encourage attacking spin bowling rather than...

    Killing Oneday cricket?

The current England - Australia series has been hideous thus far. I think the format does need some serious shaking up. I came up with some changes while sitting on the throne today that I think would make for a more entertaining spectacle - the emphasis will be on encouraging the best...
