    AFL Draft

Reckon my team would match him in that regard. Buckley, Black, Hocking, West, Watson, Kirk, Ling, Dipper, McLeod, Paul Williams and even Didak in bursts can all cycle through there.

    AFL Draft

My team aside, I reckon Jack and Zac's teams have the best midfields, although obviously they're all pretty good with at least a couple of stand out players in each team. Reckon Williams, Harvey, Judd, Liberatore, Kelly, Millane just shade Jarmen, Roo, Platten, Matera, Goodwin, Power.

    AFL Draft

Do we want to break it down a bit and talk about who's team we each think has the best backline, midfield team and forward set up? Agree with Zac, this thread has been great. For a few weeks there, it was the only thing I was bothering looking at on CW.

Would have taken Tony Shaw if I didn't have to have a <50 gamer. Nearly took him over Didak.

    AFL Draft

Was going to take Hudghton but had a last minute epiphiny about Daryl White and took him instead. Was seriously tossing up between Ottens and Wynd for my second ruck, took Ottens as the more accomplished forward.

What does experience mean though, in this specific context. I wouldn't necessarily trust Lee to bowl tightly to maintain control anymore than I would Johnson or Siddle - which is to say, not much at all. I'd be more comfortable with Hilfy playing that role than any of those three. There's a...

We want to select a team that will be successful now and position us best to be successful next season and beyond. Managing the transition of players in a planned way to minimise the disruption to the team is something successful teams do when they can. In Clark and Lee's cases injuries probably...

    AFL Draft

Meh, better than picking some guy who's body wasn't up to the strains of AFL footy. "oh, he looked great, but it turned out his knee went everytime he changed direction - will be a useful addition.". As I said, the guy has kicked 50 goals in his only full season and is an excellent shot at goal...

Will do the full write up for my team later.

    AFL Draft

My last pick and sub 50 gamer: Int: Jack Anthony (Coll) Kicked 50 goals in his second year playing AFL, will provide another option to put up forward and free up Watson more to go in the middle, or give Madden/Ottens more time to get a breather on the bench. As the number three tall, rather than...

    AFL Draft

He met the bloke once, when he was very drunk, and made a poor judgement in accepting a lift from the guy. Afterwards he tried to forget the whole incident. Hudson hadn't killed anyone at that stage. Could have happened to lots of people. Much less dubious than having phone contact with bikie...

Well the competition is Bingle, and Johnson and McKenzie's missuses, so the perspective is competition is fierce.

    AFL Draft

Unfairly misunderstood in my books. Or do you know him personally?

    AFL Draft

Int - Alan Didak - Coll. Can play as a small forward or for bursts on ball. Brilliant disposal and vision and the ability to do the freakish.

    Bit boney, and possibly underage?

Second the vote for Bingle actually.

@ Uppercut - I do think Hilfy should be in the team, ahead of Lee. I just don't agree that he should be ahead of Siddle or, lord help us, Johnson at this stage. For me, pending Lee showing some form with the red ball, and/or an injury occuring, I'd go with the attack we had for most of the...
