To spoil your fun: One might argue that a reply of 7 and 100 is not impressive if others have just scored 173 and 253 not out....

So, we have Steyn, we a new ball and we have the Indian tale. I can see Paul Collingwood surviving a Dale Steyn new ball spell, but not these two!

December 2008, when Panesar refused to take any wickets on the 5th day. Tendulkar and Yuvraj sealed the deal for India

England gets structurally underated, mostly by their own press. Maybe last summer's series win was the odd occurance, but what about drawing a series in SA and being the favourites for a series win at the start of the last day of that series in India?

I agree with most that India's problem are in the bowling department. Possibly many will disagree, but I think even Harbhajan Singh is a much overrated bowler. If you take a look at all test bowlers with over 300 wickets under their belt, you'll see Harby has the worst average, with Vettori as...

If that's true........ 100 mph = 160.9 kph. So far, only Shoaib Ahktar hit 100 mph, right?

    Cricket's Biggest Rivalry?

I could have written that. It's spot on. In general, I think there is a lot of well balanced test cricket these days. NZ, WI and Pak are off, but the other 5 real test nations can all beat eachother, since Aus lost is status of invincibility. WI seem on their way back too.

Reasons why test cricket > Twenty20

Good post. I agree with most of it. TBH, I find the discussion a bit useless. I like to watch cricket and I like to watch speed-skating. Trying to argue why one is better than the other is really pointless. I can defenitely get more excited about test cricket than ODI or T20. However, I like...

Nice work by Tamim Iqbal. But one has to wonder why he is this agrresive. They need some 400 runs more!

Pak Players ignored by IPL - this is how democracy works

Well, racism, by the literal meaning of the word is about race, but in daily life it is often more about culture than about race.

Pak Players ignored by IPL - this is how democracy works

If he (still Afridi's manager) has heard that franchises were being advised not to bid for Pakistani players, he should inform us where and from whom he has heard so.....

Pak Players ignored by IPL - this is how democracy works

Doesn't mr Jakhrani understand that when he, or any other official of the Pakistani ministries of sports, interior and foreign affairs, most people in the world don't trust them to uphold their word?

Pak Players ignored by IPL - this is how democracy works

There's a lot of silly crap going on. However, to be fair, Pakistani politicians, already barking about discrimination, should realise they are least partially responisble themselves. Pakistan (or rather, its politics) has built its own reputation of utter inreliability. From an IPL business...

Well, it seems like the Tigers are trying to keep the momentum after that wicket. Probably the only sensible thing to do now.!

Amazing! I got a quick view earlier this morning and saw Bangladesh were 6 down, with hardly any runs added to their overnight total. And now this. I still can't see Bangladesh win and even a draw doesn't seem that likely tbh, but Bangladesh drawing the #1 Test nation is now a serious possibility!

    *Official* England in South Africa

Not sure I agree completely, but I see your point. However, when he was overlooked while this Pattinson dude was selected, I was pretty much convinced Hoggard was possiby not dropped, but surely not reselected for reasons unrelated to performance. There MUST be more to it.

Mostly by boundaries, 44 of the 53 runs now. That's quite odd, not?

We can properly discuss ball-tampering, T20-vs-Tests, Pakistani-self-destrucion, Australianism, Ian Bell's batting, Dale Willem Steyn's bowling, or any other cricket issue in anyway we want and with dozen of opinions. And we can discuss how a referral sysem could and should work. But when we...
