Ishant Sharma vs Stuart Broad - Test bowler

That spell was mighty impressive! It's really hard to argue with that! What I like about Broad is that he indeed is NOT a great bowler, but a decent bowler with the odd great spell.

    *Official* Bangladesh in England

Yeah, they're usually good for silly debates. Maybe not the right spot here, but last week we had a discussion during my own match (Dutch crap level) about taking a leg bye when not offering a shot. Two of my team mates tried to do so (#9 & #11 :) ) and were consequently sent back, as the ball...

Point is that balls quite often look like going for the stumps, but sail over them in the end. I've seen that so many times during practice.

I guess is becomes dead when it hits the stumps after coming from the helmet.

Is that true? I don't think the ball becomes dead when it hits a properly worn helmet...

Why? The helmet was on his head, right??

Well, I can see his point. I'm quite excited to have some Test Cricket around, but this is not really what we want to see, do we? This test has Innings Defeat wriiten all over it at lunch on day 1..............

What amazes me: We've seen some poor fielding and some dropped catches. But two of those Sammy sixes were caught by spectators with ease. First a young woman catching the ball while holding a flag in her hand, than a man refusing to drop his beverage and thus taking the ball singlehandedly...

*Official* English Domestic Season Thread 2010

I was at the VRA ground in Amstelveen yesterday, playing an English team, having 5 wickets in hand, needing 6 runs in the last over. And we made it. Too bad it all happened on the 2nd field... Not trying to run on just every ball, if you have as many wickets as balls, is piss poor crap cricket.

Is there any chance Sidebottom comes back in the test squad?

I'm looking forward to the Tests. It might very well prove to be a hard fought, tight series. I guess it comes down to Steyn's form. If WI can handle him, they should be able to score big totals. The WI attack looks strong with Taylor, Roach, Bravo and Benn. On a spinning track, Gayle might be...

Semi Finals/Final - Australia, Sri Lanka, England and Pakistan

Is the track in St Lucia really that slow? People keep saying that, but I beg to differ.

Semi Finals/Final - Australia, Sri Lanka, England and Pakistan

Couldn't have hoped for a more dramatic mathc from a neutral pov. Or......, could I? I kinda wished that Mussey would be bowled on that last ball, so that we could see either Tait or Nannes bat..... Poor tactics giving the last over to Ajmal....

    Cracks on Bat

It's rather normal to happen, when you have scored a few runs. If it happens on a brand new, properly knocked-in bat, I'd inform the seller.

Semi Finals/Final - Australia, Sri Lanka, England and Pakistan

Not really favouring either side, I just watched a dull game indeed. However, I'm pleased to see England go through, since they have shown some very decent T20 cricket this tournament. I'm looking forward to a cracking final between Aus & Eng. About the Aussie and England teams: both their...

Now, that was luck, for Lumb this time.

Semi Finals/Final - Australia, Sri Lanka, England and Pakistan

Might be, but not giving out a batsman that has come forward, is a good decision, imho.

Semi Finals/Final - Australia, Sri Lanka, England and Pakistan

Ugly over indeed. Yet, 17 runs from a very bad 18th over is still not that much of a shock.

Semi Finals/Final - Australia, Sri Lanka, England and Pakistan

Yeah, it really looks like this slower shorter bowlery is the result of good preparation by the England tacticians.
