**Official** Sri Lanka in England / Scotland - 2011

Am I completely missing the point when suggesting an early start?

And probably just that. Rumours transform into assumptions. And we all know whose mother assumption is....

A great ball to get out a great batsman.

Yup, Broad look good. As do all England's bowlers.

Sir Ian has admitted himself that thinking was never his greatest asset. In his (auto)biography he refers to himself as "Bungalow"....., as in not much upstairs!

Cook is very special. He gets too little appreciation, I reckon. He's 26, has been playing Test cricket for 5 years, has nearly 5500 runs, and has been scoring them consistantly, at a healthy 1000 runs per year. I have no doubt that only time is needed for him to be named in the same lines as...

It's always good to see that at CW a batsman can transform, within 3 posts, from a useless crease occupier into Sir Garfield!

Yeah, but simply reserving 6 days to get to 450 overs would solve a lot!

Simply go on until 450 overs have been bowled. As easy as that, imho...

Isn't it a bit bit too easy to all jump on the Broad is garbage wagon? Sure He's not been showing what has shown in the past (ocasionally). But I don't think his bowling was that crap. I could very well argue he has been a bit unlucky today!

Also @Revo The cricinfo commentary agrees with you, but facts say otherwise. In 27 ODI innings, Simmons has only one score of 40+ (and less than 50). This was his last innings. In his last 10 innings, he has gotten 50s five times, and got through two times. Could be better, but to hint he has...

If it is really true that the BCCI is simply stepping up for its players, do we know, for sure, which (senior) players are so vehemently against improving cricket? I'd like to know which players to dislike for a reason :) . To be fair, that is, this time, not GimH's fault, but the BCCI's.

I reckon that England would have beaten the Lankans, if not for Jimmy's injury and a lot of rain.

Neither would I have thought KP would run into problems against left-arm spin, a few years back. I do remember his introduction to Test Cricket in 2005. I know Shane Warne's leggies are not the same as left arm spin, but still...., that didn't give me a clue he would struggle against it. It is...

Well, this is brutal. Prior to ton up........., today! Not going to happen, but still. Quite a remarkable strike rate so late in the day.

I like the idea of runs flowing, until the end of the day. But I don't give a rat's arse who wins this :) .

Finally a wicket. But not before these two had added 100 runs for the 6th wicket, at over 5 runs an over. Quite a thing!
