It's what I've always liked about Broad. A decent, sometimes ordinary bowler, but every now and then he spits out a top spell. SA 2008, Oval 2009, this Test.

Hmmmm, I looked it up. As a matter of fact Cook has 6 consecutive 50s (not counting :) ). Bell might get to 6 too, today, but is still counting. However, there are 3 players with 7 consecutive 50s: Weekes, Flower & C'paul. The list with 6 consecutive 50s has the likes of Sobers, Headley, Border...

If he makes one today, he comes even with the record holders, including Cook. Cook got their his previous innings and thus missed an opportunity to become the sole leading consecutive 50s scorer, yesterday. I only know this because it came up during the 3rd Test vs SL.

What do the laws say about that? I reckon If I pluck a ball out of the air, a yard above the ground, and then fall down and break my fall with my hands, while the leather of the ball touches the grass before my hand does, it's defenitely a catch!

They're stepping up alright. These two might both do the damage! No, Bhaji will be taken apart by both Bell and KPP. As we speak!

I'd say: Honours even. But India have missed an opportunity. So Strauss the happier captain. Edit: that soons harsh when reading it. Better to say England did will to see the attack off.

It isn't? So, if a batsman is given LBW, but replays show that he nicked it first, there is no possibility to review? I can't believev that. That would be bloody stupid. It also has nothing to do with India's problems with DRS, which were afaik only subject of inaccuracy. Ball tracking is...

Are they really? I can't see the Indians buy 20 wickets. I really can't.

    Tour de France 2011 Thread

I haven't heared these rumours, but....... On a critical note, the two stages where Cav just missed it, he was simply not dropped off near the finish line as he should have been. The fact he got to 2nd and 5th places in those sprints, is because he is so ridiculously good! Tuesday, the...

is this the best batting line-up you have ever seen?

I got into cricket too late to have seen the Windies bat. I guess it could be them, or even the Windies of the 60/70s Would it be off to suggest that Jaya, Sanga, Samaraweera +Dilshan/Jayasuria coudl be in that list too?

Even a breakaway with two members of one team in a group of 7 is edgy. Never ever will a team be allowed to escape with 5 or 6. They'll simply hunted down in an eye blink. The way to go is indeed to make sure you've got a man in the break-away group every time.

Hoogerland himself was pretty mild, stating that the driver probably did not do this on purpose... As bad as it is, it does have a side to it. Johnny Hoogerland has been lifted to hero status! That's what your arse looks like after being smashed into barbed wire at 35 mph: And that's your...
