I can see NZ not using James Franklin here. And rightfully so too, imho. He's not that much of a batsman either. Maybe squeeze in a proper batsman?

Hmm, I have to disagree here. Then again, one might argue we have 8 favourites this tournament.

It would have been brilliant if he had kept an overview by himself

How so is throwing to the wrong end a brilliant piece of fielding?

IMHO, England need five or six more injuries or selection screw-ups before it is advantage Australia....

Cricinfo saying it was plumb. But is was umpire's call. Good call, but not plumb then......

Anybody else got the feeling we're not watching the champiosn here? Both teams are not upto what I expected...

Contrary to popular believe (not here by us proper cricket followers of course), both Gayle and Samuels adjust to the situation. They won't swing their bats meaninglessly, before they feel the situation is really safe. That might help Pakistan......

You would bet a few coins on the idea that a professional cricketer actually know when is catch is formally completed.....

Good start by India, poor bowling by the Saffers, or a more than decent pitch suited for a big score?

Well, imho - and I really find it quite simple - this particular innings of England isn't great indeed. But if any England batsman is not responsible for that, it is Trott. I really find it hard to argue with it!

I guess people are judging Trott by his reputation (right or wrong), rather than his performance today.

Shut up Bresnan. that's four runs because you bowled full on the leg side!

Well everyone on the field could probably see the review too. And as there was no evidence whatsoever to support the ball (or the fielders hand while picking it up) had touched the boundary, a polite little chat with the umpire is not that pointless, I guess.

NZ should really push for over ten an over from here.

I just checked SRT's stats. He's done it once.

A Single Test or Fifty ODIs?

I stand corrected. I was under the impression Bracken never played a single Test. I checked and he has five.

Is there a list somewhere of batsmen that got back to back 100's in ODI's? I'm just, all of a sudden, wondering how many times it has happened.
