Though I never thought bowling with only 155 runs to play with would ever be a good position to be in, not using your best two bowlers until the target is halved, strikes me as rather poor captaincy....

Am I alone in thinking this is not a competitive target at all? Surely this is not the easiest pitch to bat on, but I think commentators are talking the pitch worse than it is.

Interesting to see a #9 top scoring both innings..... Anyway, if Siddle can score quickly here, so can India's batsmen.

He's just improved his test high score.....

Your own "I was there" moments

The Dutch beating England at Lord's at the WCT20 in 2009. Though I prefer Tests over any other sort of cricket, it's hard to see this monumental Dutch cricket milestone being surpassed at any time soon, with or without me attending. At the same WC, I watched Chris Gayle smash Brett Lee for 27...

I was just wondering: Pattinson looks pretty decent for a #10 batsman. Looking at his test stats, he seems to be able to stay around there for a while.

It just feels like this no-ball MUST be decisive.

    Root to end the partnership?

Anderson cam from really far. There was a point where everyone, apart from the England Management, was wondering why he was even considered. Anderson is the most improved bowler ever, I suppose...

Though I can't see what's the difference, Finn now has three slips and a gully.

Thanks for answering the question, before I asked :) . It actually makes sense now. I've played my first cricket match when I was 33 years old..... Cricket isn't much of a tradition in The Netherlands.

On a more serious note: Under what circumstances was that position ever a good idea, apart from the captain giving his ******** cousin a chance at keeping?

lol That includes a Long Stop. A position in the field I only know off, because I once saw it on a traditional fielding position map, in the pavilion of a cricket club.

Well, I was just going to moan about the lack of slips.... Why not have three slips AND a gully? NZ are basically minus 350 for 5, and Broad and Jimmy are making the ball move!

Anderson not looking good, not great body language, seems to have a problem...., bla bla...., wicket by a good delivery. What should we make of that?

ZIM bowlers extend play to after lunch on day 3..... Well played sirs...... What a farce from the umpires and Darren Bravo.....

Bell and Trott are scoring quite rapidly, given the fact England are three wickets down!

Well, let's see then..... Justified or not, there is a point where no spinner is better than a crap spinner, I guess.

A nearly 33 year old debutant with a FC average of 36.... So, why was he picked?

I really cannot see Sammy dropped. Won't happen! Neither will Gayle be dropped.
