Got to love a small sample size. Whilst Curran is being selected, Woakes is being hard done by.

DRS stats for 2019 test matches

Indeed. We need to see how they fill in the forms after the game, how often they forget to count to 6 and how often they stand their round in the bar in the hotel before we can decide how good an umpire they are...

    4 Day Tests

It was definitely noticeable yesterday - I think there was one review all day and one physio visit yet they only bowled 79 overs in over 6 hours (and Maharaj was on for 28 of them).

    Team of the Year 2019

Effectively because they were 200+ ahead on first innings. Notice you brush over the fact that that was his only innings above 40 all year...

    Team of the Year 2019

He had one innings over 40 in the whole year and in that innings he effectively came in at 320-6. That is not better than Stokes by any stretch of the imagination.

    Team of the Year 2019

It’s not a tough choice when the vacant spot is for a batsman and only one of the 2 is a top order batsmen though. Holder is a front line bowler so has to compete for one of those spots.

You make it sound like Curran’s away record is stellar when in effect it’s little better.
