Semi final 2: Argentina vs Holland

FIFA rankings are probably the most stupid system in the world. They've really been crap forever. The main difference this year around was that seedings were based on FIFA-ranking, rather than previous WC-results. Well, no arguing with that. TBF, I think the four semi-finalists all have a 25%...

Semi final 2: Argentina vs Holland

Thta would be NL - ARG :) . That's hardly a rivalry compared to either NL-GER or BRA-ARG.

    Quarter-finals

Dutch shoot-outs: We've lost in the EC 1/4 finals in 1996 vs France We've lost in the WC semi finals in 1998 vs Brazil We've lost in the EC semi finals in 2000 vs Italy (after missing two penalty kicks during normal play time.....) We've beaten Sweden in the EC 2004 1/4 finals. I won't forget...

    Quarter-finals

May I ask why? Apart from Dries Mertens, a filthy rotten diver that exceeds both Suarex & Robben on any given day, they're quite likable imo.

    Round of 16 matches

It's quite surprising, imho, to read dozens of newspaper articles (from several countries), 100s of comments and what not about the greatness of The Red Devils. Sure it was a great match to watch! But wasting so many opportunities and even 100% chances is not going to take the ****s & Lions...

    Round of 16 matches

It's interesting you come up with this, as it hardly got mentioned at all in Dutch media. It was a pretty dangerous piece of defending. Yet, if a defender plays the ball, most referees won't give a penalty, even if it was a 100% foul outside the box. One of those funny things in football...

If both Roach and Taylore can get their act together at the same time, the WI attack looks really, really good! The thing nobody understands.......

Did the West Indies take the first of 10 wickets? Or did NZ get a 17 run bonus in their 9-wicket innings?

I have only seen three balls today: 2 fours and a run out. So, what's going on? Brilliant batting, poor bowling, poor fiedling, tons of Sri Lankan luck, unlucky Englishmen, or did the pitch flat out completely?

Yeah, I noticed myself. I blame watching football and Test Cricket at the same time.

Though I won't claim Rutherford is that much more than a walking wicket, I still think McCullum openeing is not any good. Basically it means: Hi Hamish, welcome back in the theram, but we still think you are not good enough. That's not going to be helpful.

Yeah, but by the current ways of going, there was no doubt it was out as out can be out. It looked like he wasn't aware one can be given out, when no shot is offered....
