    Best grounds to watch cricket

I guess, no, I'm quite certain, that the best ground is far more definfed by the type of match and/or crowd. Obviously some grounds help far more than others. But it's hard to say what makes a ground a good ground. I've been to Lord's, The Oval, Edgebaston, Trent Bridge and, I guess the best of...

I think the sweatband is part of the glove, not? Or does Root wear an extra sweatband (so 80's)? Anyway, AB was anticipating for Root to get some wood on it. Hence he moved to the leg side a bit. Which is why he couldn't cling on. IMHO it's unfair to judge his keepng as not up to scratch, based...

Not impressed by Elgars's first over. Neither are Compton nor Root.

He could have visited a physio for an hour, not? This seems rather amateuristic to me.

Yeah, was quite suprised by it. I suppose it's better to check it a few times too many though. Actually, there's nothing wrong with checking it with any wicket.

Dean Elgar carrying his bat. Well done to him! Will we see England bat before lunch? Doesn't make sense, right? Edit: cricinfo has lunch now too.....

Ahhhhhh, I was thinking in a completely different direction.

I was simply thinking so, because the partnetship was going forward, luck or no luck. Also, it took Steyn 17 balls to get of the mark. BTW, I can't figure out what mi**** is supposed to mean..........

Why oh why did you do that Dale Willem Steyn? A small first innings lead for SA would have brought this game into the middle of balance. This partnership really made me think it would be possible! Still fairly balanced though, this game.

I like it when tail-enders can actually hold up one end.

He indeed does! And SA's 8-9-10-11 are not the world's finest tail. Oh, make that 9-10-11 now :) !

Quite right! Apart from that, I think Stokes will bat at 7, not? And Bairstow at 6? Anyway, England have the best 8-9-10 imaginable. And Finn actually does survive for 40 balls on average.

As did Cook. I'm quite sure Trescothick was still in the side when Cook came along. Is there a way to get exact numbers?

There cannot be too many ahead of him. Names to come to mind are Graeme Smith, Matt Hayden, or Virender Sehwag. But I guess Sunil Gavaskar is the only one ahead of him, not?
