New ball available. The batsmen take it right away and make good use of it. Or what?

That was close. Just a rotten idea it costs 4 byes....

Compton is only a year younger than Bell :) . I guess I agree somewhat with you here. First of all, I have enjoyed Ian Bell batting so many times. I don't really care about his average, and even les about statistics like 'no 100s when nobody else has done so'. Sure enough those things are fair...

After Compton's aggresive boundaries and Hales' wild flashes, this Test is now in a somewhat blurry area..... You can also tell by the fact the commentators rather comment on Dutch architecture!

I'm Dutch, so I'm not going to feel sorry for an Indian complaining not having a number one batsman contender :) !

I figured that. It's why I like the response even better.

I've read that Bayliss articel/interview on cricinfo. As a result I find mr Bayliss a complete and utter joke. In Durban, Compton came in in the 2nd over, lost the other opener with a dozen runs on the board, and then lost the world's best batsman with fewer than 50 runs on the board. He did...

Ah, a proper Test Cricket shot!

And then a scoop shot to the fine leg boundary. And then a six over long on. You are being served here :) .

I could explain to you what is meant by the first three bolded words. But that's probaly not what you are wondering about.

The first of those 2 fours was kept down nicely though!

In contrary to popular believe in England's former colonies, England does not have any winters. They do indeed suffer though, from long, long autumns.

If Nick Compton is not a natural rotator of the strike, I can't see him trying to be during the first morning of a Test. Anyway, fair to say we have different opinions here.

I don't think there is too much wrong with that. Anyway, wheather you like slow batting or not, it must be said that the stream of legside-padside hit me filth has stopped.
