Five things I don't get about cricket

I can see why someone would argue that a 4th innings 117 defense or 414 chase are both easier than coming back from 242 all out & 158/0. It's bassically the same as being shot down for 84 in your first innings, yet still winning the Test. I guess these situations are hard to compare.

***Official*** Australia in South Africa + South Africa in Australia 2016/17

Which makes me wonder.... How do the Saffers (or rather, Faf himself) pronounce his name? The French way, the Dutch way, or the English way?

West Indies vs Pakistan in UAE 2016

Hmmm, Bravo sr too, I guess. One of the few proper all-rounders. Not a bowler to hold up an end, and occasionally smash a few boundaries.

I haven't sen abit of this Test. Just read some commentary and some stats. Cremer is MotM, yet with a just a few overs left, two wickets in hand, and over 200 runs to win........, he managed to get stumped! To me, that sounds wrong....

West Indies vs Pakistan in UAE 2016

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. I really hope they pull this off tomorrow. It would be a big thing for these youngsters to beat the #2 Test team in an away Test.

West Indies vs Pakistan in UAE 2016

The 4 you named, save Bravo, PLUS Blackwoord, Chase & Dowrich all have yet to turn 25 years (I just checked, apparently Dowrich turned 25 during this test...). I won't argue all of them are (or will be) Test Match calibre players, but sure as hell the West Indies have potential! The West Indies...

West Indies vs Pakistan in UAE 2016

Todays last 5 overs (31 runs) really made things swing towards a WI victory. Quite an unexpected one, if they push things over the line!

    **Official** England in Bangladesh 2016

    A Test that has a 170, a 100 and a 99 runs partnership, yet is over within 3 days.

These two to put up 100 runs, before a mini collapse will bring this Test to the wire! Will happen!

Nice shot..... Given the match situation and his personal situation, it's really daft.

Interesting start of the session then!

    That looked really odd......

Judging by the scorecard (yeah, I know), batting has become easier, as time goes by.... Maybe this pitch is simply a good one to bat on. Yet, not too many batsmen applied in this Test.

There's depth in batting and depth in batting. This is depth in batting. It's amazing, yet at the same time it was always going to happen for England to put up a 50+ partnership somewhere down the lower order.

So nice I can watch for an hour and a bit, before I have to leave for work tomorrow!

    **Official** England in Bangladesh 2016

Sure....... It's time for a really dumb run out. The number 9 trying to get on strike from the first ball of the over......

Was thinking it was too high. If I were an umpire, I'd think there would be too much doubt. Fair enough this.

Odds for a draw are 1:1000 (at unibet) so I guess not....

Another village cricket classic I like is the man at deep mid wicket being the sole fielder to appeal for LBW, upon which the umpire raises his finger immediately.

Regardess of the discussion about leg side catches, that is an interesting question anyway. Have there been wicket keepers, in fairly recent times, batting at 9, 10 or 11 in tests?
