So........, flying in Ian Ronald Bell is the only logical option! .....Ducks for cover......

Is there any chance he will return? I have no idea how serious his condition is. But there examples of sportsmen coming back from a sudden stop due to a serious hart condition. No idea how these examples relate to whatever JT has. On the #4 spot in general. Why not Woakes for Duckett? Seems...

Possibly it will turn things faster to the idea that you won't lose the review on umpire' call. I've always felt that was too harsh. Though the fact that Beefy agrees with me, is probably a sign I talk nonsense, I gues this is the exception on the rule.

The 2nd review was a gamble (too).... Did they really know it was pad first? I find that hard to believe. Also, the impact was always going to be close to outside.

My thoughts with balls like these is that they either hit the batsman outside the line, or the ball will pass the leg stump. Hard to give it out, if an umpire has to go there without having any doubt.

Heeeey, 9 runs from the over! Didn't see that coming!

Outrageous! I went for a piss, and.............., runs were scored!

These two hanging in htere like this, puts England' first innings in perspective. India taking 5 for 100 on the end of day 2, is where they have won this test (still assuming they will win it). To put it a bit negatively, it is where England messed things up. One can imagine that things could...

Keep watching him throughout his career, and you probably will one or two times!

I guess it wasn' the nicest way to say something. Yet, I figured too that Shri's remarks on Hameed being easy to fear was not his most brilliant contribution to this forum. The young blogue looks really, really, really good!

Just watched the Stokes catch. The blogue can bat, bowl, and field.... I know, nothing new here. Just a wonderful player.

I can't remember when I've felt so enthousiastic about a rookie batsman. I really hope he does well!

I'm not convinced..... As if a fairly decent deck will suddenly become a turner, because a few gentlemen are having lunch a 100 yards away......

The last half hour, the whole feeling of this test has changed. These two doing really well. Good to watch! Yet, it still buggers me when commentators get overly ehthousiastic when a proper #3 batsman show his ability to convert a leg spinner's full toss into a boundary. Sure enough, that's...

    Andrew Flintoff vs Chris Cairns

Having watched cricket on the BBC (hence only English home matches) in the days. And thus having stopped watching in 1998 (right?), to pick it up again during the 2005 Ashes, I am a bit biased for two reasons: -I've never ever seen a bit of cricket by mr Cairns. -Flintoff is the main reason I...

I could have picked anybody's statement on this, as many (not only on this forum) have been made. Will this pitch deteriorate? Well, it probably will, but by what standards? I guess I've been hearing this too many times now. It didn't happen during the first test. This ground is, afaik, new to...
