Bumrah running 0/2 so far. The Bum-free India at 100%. #justsayin

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Not sure if serious...? He marshalled two pretty rank bunnies to within 22 of a total, his team having been 8 down with >70 still needed. I mean, he could've said "**** it" and have a slog, if that's your go, but was a pretty damn fair (and atypical) effort, IMHO.

SB getting his Gambhiring in early, IMHO.

Test cricket. Bloody hell. Desperately hardlines for Jadeja; magnificent innings in the circs. Even though every fibre of my being was willing him to fail.

In Ford's defence I think from about sixty minutes onwards the backs seemed to be blowing out their arses as they weren't giving him many options other than to kick. Great performance generally though. Especially given we lost our captain and most experienced campaigner <24 hours before kick off.

    Lions tour 2025

Ringrose out of the first test with concussion. Jones surely a mortal for 13 now. Jamie George called up as cover for LCD as well. Big lad was unlucky to miss out in the first place. Misses the second test v los Pumas now though, which is unfortunate.

    Lions tour 2025

Hard to know what to make of that, really. Lions looked good but, as ATT correctly points out, it was against a team who do not typically play together and, boy, did it show. Guess we should move on to the XV. I'll list who I would pick and, where I think Farrell pere will demur I'll add his...

You hate to see it. Had to happen sooner or later though. Meanwhile I see Mick Byrne's charges took the cane out of the cupboard and administered the Sweaties a good, Fijian styley thrashing.

Jeez, hard lot to please, yer Saffer unionists. We'd have taken him off your hands very happily.

***2025 State of Origin First Try Scorer***

Leniu is about what I expect (an interchange prop, FFS) but Munster at least gives me the vaguest of prayers. Fully expect my 100% record to be intact after tonight.

Best Foreign Batsmen on English Soil

The batsmen who've had the best series up here that I've seen are SR Waugh in 1989 (think it was the third test before we even dismissed him), Graeme Smith in 2003 (how I grew to hate that bottom handed shovel), his namesake Steve in 2019 and (my vote for the best) Rahul Dravid in 2011. India...

England players and selection discussion thread

Pains me to say it but Woakes looks like his race is run. Struggled to keep his pace over 80mph and wasn't moving it off the straight. Carse looked like he was bowling on one foot half the time and Tongue can't make a career out of bowling at tailenders. If Atkinson is within shouting distance...

In all seriousness I don't think the Curry/Underhill/Willis back row loses much in comparison to the Beirne/van der Flier/Earl combo ver Lions stuck out today.

Comm just said our last tour was 2017; Christ alive seems way more recent than that. Pretty comprehensive in the end. Decent effort for a team missing ~a dozen players.

Pumas coming right back into this. Entertaining game; if memory serves our series in Argentina during the last Lions tour produced some decent rugby too.

Been quite the decent start to the second half for the visitors. England played more rugby in eight minutes than the Lions did in eighty.

    Lions tour 2025

Yeah, I'm not going to be churlish about it, was a tidy little dummy, the 'Tahs' defence might be slightly disappointed how they bought it so completely though. Very much watching the man and not the ball.

Think with the way Keenan failed to complete that tackle we can start to ink in Kinghorn's name for the test #15.
