*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

Anyway, does anyone think SA will realistically last more than three days against Australia in this? Should be a walk in the park.

This is a pretty weird comment given Smith volunteered to move to opener.

Jeez Newcastle stink. They’re going to be spoon contenders for years unless they find some decent young forwards asap. An organising half of even moderate standard would help too.

Bloke at the other end was sharpish "Sometimes he hit the bat before the bat was ready to hit the ball. You know, the ball would hit the bat and you'd be like 'My gosh, what was that?' and it's hit the splice and gone." - Dennis Amiss I can't imagine being good enough to be a test match...

Well marking up against Crichton and Lomax would be a nightmare tbh. They’re both massive and very good defenders. Lomax just gets better and better as a winger. A proper metre eater these days and epic in the air. It very odd they didn’t go to their fastest bloke. Was wasted

Yeah it was one where NSW really didn’t seem too troubled tbh. Qld played like they didn’t know one another. Very poor with the ball

He’s exceptional. Couple of years ago he was way off the pace at this level. He, Mitchell and Lomax are ****ing massive too. Huge human beings who are skillful and rapid.

Those sin bin calls in mid air are terrible. Simonsen copped one early in the year too. Should never show them in slow motion. He’s about to have a 100kg bloke land on him and he’s in mid air. is he meant to drop his hands and get squashed? Ludicrous. Darren Lockyer thinks so too

Great players adapt, it's a big part of what makes them great. Ponting might have averaged 55 in his peak in some eras, might have been 65 in others, but he wouldn't slump to something like mid 40s or whatever.

Of course it is, his record in India is what puts him a tier below the likes of Lara and Tendulkar in his era. Have never said otherwise tbh. The weird thing about Ponting in India is his two best series there came when he was past his best and had started to decline. Randomly made three...
