*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

If your eyes are too far off the ground, you struggle to play the moving ball as it approaches you. There’s a reason why great batsmen are all relatively short. Some tall blokes Bosch it around ok, but it’s artless hackery and almost always done inthe middle order where the ball doesn’t move much

This is awesome analysis from Mel Jones and Ian Bishop

He’s too gangly to bat three. No one that tall can make it in the top order. If you’re 6’5” or more you should never bat above 5
  4. Burgey

His last six months have been vintage. From Brisbane onwards he’s been near enough back to his best
  5. Burgey

Lazy on drive for four to get off the mark. What a mental ****ing player
  6. Burgey

Fortunately it’s England touring next summer here so he should be ok
  7. Burgey

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

Terrible from Green. Woeful technique. Hard hands and stiff legs
  8. Burgey

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

the last two overs have been good - they’ve got Marnus crabbing across by drawing him wide, and now he’s a chance to get lbw to one jagging in but an even bigger shout to nick off at something on sixth stump, which he’d not been playing at as much this innings. They’ve messed with his feet and...

lol and as you type that he does a light sabre leave a la Smith. Just be yourself, ****. Fmd it’s sad
  10. Burgey

He isn’t in the same postcode as this, but there must have been a decent noise
  11. Burgey

I think he looks a fair bit more still at the crease which he needs to be, instead of being a try hard Steve smith with the faux quirky movements and mannerisms, as opposed to Smith’s, which are genuinely spectrum related. His back leg is still coming around when he plays on off stump though...

SA really need a couple asap. If the lead gets out to 120 or so with only none or one down, it’s a bloody long way back.
  13. Burgey

Something English groundsmen have done well the past few years
  14. Burgey

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

Easily. He arguably walks into every team
  15. Burgey

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

Also, I can’t recall a time where there’s been two absolutely gun and all-time level quicks at the same time who are both outwardly such good blokes as Bumrah and Cummins. You’d be hard pressed to dislike either of them
  16. Burgey

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

Who’s been saying that btw? It sounds a very England and Wales or Indian thing to say
  17. Burgey

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

Yeah but the way it behaved yesterday, they may have been nearly all out for less than this anyway if they threw wood. It’s not been easy, but they could have been more proactive to some extent last night for sure

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

Unfortunately, although Bedingham batted well and made valuable runs, because he enjoyed substantial luck playing and missing a lot early on against really good bowling on a difficult wicket, he really shouldn’t be in the team and the England bowlers will be rubbing their hands together...

He didn’t bowl too well this morning. Webster went for ten off his last. His first two were fine
