You are closer to it than me! But on tv they doing the anthems and weather looks ok?
  2. White Ball

Group 1 (Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland)

What score will Sri Lanka need to have a chance? It’s a used pitch and they have 3 spinners but England have a gun batting side so I would say around 170?
  3. White Ball

Group 1 (Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland)

So Straya are Sri Lankan for the day
  4. White Ball

Group 1 (Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland)

Ah ok but I thought the forecast was decent today?
  5. White Ball

Group 1 (Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland)

Problem is I think you will need more than just to get past England NRR because they have the advantage of playing tomorrow, would need a bit of an advantage over them in NRR fo create some pressure
  6. White Ball

Group 1 (Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland)

Either that or a washout in that game! Anyone know the forecast for the England v Sri Lanka game?
  7. White Ball

Group 1 (Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland)

If Australia win the toss is it easier to improve NRR batting first or chasing I feel batting first then trying to bowl them out cheap is best way to try and control the situation?
  8. White Ball

Group 1 (Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland)

If Ireland do win, what will it do to this group?
  9. White Ball

Group 2 (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Netherlands)

Looks like we will play England in the semis obviously not going to take them lightly but at same time given our record v NZ in ICC events this is a better draw but can’t count out Australia qualifying still
  10. White Ball

Group 1 (Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland)

Looks a good deck would back NZ to chase down whatever total set
  11. White Ball

Group 2 (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Netherlands)

Runs on the board here for Zimbabwe, if they can get some quick poles then the upset is on.

*Official* India in West Indies and the USA - JUL 22 to AUG 7, 2022

Great game happy for India and Patel but feel bad for the Windies they don’t deserve to be 2-0 down in this series. to people saying ODI cricket is boring just watch this series it’s been epic!

    Ways to preserve all formats

The way the media have been talking there has been talk that the ODI World Cup after next could be the last and that the format could face elimination. Personally I don’t think this will happen but thought it was worth having a discussion about.

    Ways to preserve all formats

As a child of the 90s it does sadden me that there is growing talk of ODI cricket being under threat. With that being said I do appreciate that with schedules already packed and with the commercial interests there are clear challenges. I have a few solutions, firstly the IPL having a longer...

*Official* India tour of Ireland and England 2022

Apparently this is England’s worse performance at home with the bat in an ODI series since 1976
  16. White Ball

*Official* India tour of Ireland and England 2022

Agree either that or some batters that can combine to give you a 6th option like Sehwag used to
  17. White Ball

*Official* India tour of Ireland and England 2022

Agreed, but I feel Kishan at the top could make a difference he buys into this new style approach. Dhawan has been brilliant over the years but he looks so bereft of confidence and is soaking up balls got away with it in game one as we had a low score to chase and Rohit was flying but yesterday...

*Official* India tour of Ireland and England 2022

I would make 3 changes for the final game. Iyer for Kohli (won’t happen and I am a huge Virat fan, but he needs to be taken out of the firing line) Arshdeep for Prasidh Kishan for Dhawan
