*Official* New Zealand tour of UAE and England 2023

I've been a Southee hater when it comes to ODIs but with Jamieson not turning up in the format, Milne being made of glass, and Ferguson losing the plot his selection wasn't as bad as it once was. Maybe someone like Shipley could be there but I'm not sure if he's even available. And tbh if you...

Tim Southee vs Trent Boult vs Neil Wagner

Wagner was always super clutch. Rarely went missing when it mattered.

*Official* Australia A in New Zealand 2022/23

Yeah, Daryl Mitchell has a similar bowling record at first-class level and has taken 3 wickets in 18 test matches. I just don't see it. O'Rourke looks like a talent though.

Which would you pick for a Test bowling all-rounder spot on a team?

Ian Botham before like 1983, otherwise Marshall.

He became eligible for the USA team earlier this year, surprised he wasn't picked for the World Cup qualifiers.

I know it was pre AEW but I genuinely wonder if those UFC fights broke Punk. Like he always had this in him but getting absolutely humiliated twice in front of millions of people after years of grifting about being a tough guy, there's very few people that could go through that and it not affect...

Explain how excluding a dead rubber game against Bangladesh is an issue. And again, even if I agreed with you about the West Indies game, which I like 80% don't. I literally started the whole ****ing argument by saying there are exceptions, because the guy had a 14 year long career. The trend...

I just hope the next time we play the Netherlands people share their thoughts as readily as they do during world cup finals. Since we'll be watching every ball in anticipation just the same. Runs are runs and wickets are wickets.

Yeah, but McCullum scored 185 in a test match against Shahadat Hossein and Rubel Hossain. That's 66 more than Crowe's 119 against Marshall, Garner, Holding, Walsh. And 83 more than Williamson's 2012 century against Steyn, Philander, Morkel. Chatfield can't compare.

4 in each pool qualified for the quarters (even Bangladesh qualified), we were undefeated (5-0), and it was our last pool game. I'm not saying it wasn't a great innings, it was. But that's not really what I was talking about.

Half the overs were bowled by Sulieman Benn, Marlon Samuels, and Darren Sammy. Respectively their averages were like 39, 45, 47. And I said in my initial post that there were exceptions. Guptill was capable of brilliance and he had like a 14 year career. I don't think it's wrong (if you have a...

I said high pressure. NZ weren't losing at home to a team with three players in their top 6 averaging in the low-mid 20s like Johnson Charles, Jonathan Carter and Denesh Ramdin.

*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

Obviously there's exceptions because he had a long career but Guptill just wasn't a high pressure player, basically any limited overs tournament he had a crap record.

    Martin Crowe vs Younis Khan

'85 - '94 Crowe was definitely right up there. https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;spanmax2=31+Dec+1994;spanmin2=01+Jan+1985;spanval2=span;template=results;type=batting

Rachin should almost make himself unavailable for selection at this point. Playing at 7-8 in T20 internationals is doing him more harm than good.

    2023 FIFA Women's World Cup

The difference in quality between Australia and the New Zealand side is wild.

On the bright side, genuinely don't think I've seen such a strong group of fast bowlers for us. Boult, Henry, Ferguson, Milne, Jamieson, Southee. Obviously not all of them are in the best of form but you can't complain about that group.

I'd swap Ravindra and Nicholls for Foxcroft and Clarkson.

Anyone else only watching Collision from the AEW television options? Week to week it seems the most consistent, and although I find Dax harwood to be a whiny little bitch - FTR, Jay White, and CM Punk's style of storytelling seems a lot more my style. Also I was excited about the Wembley show...
