My hopes of a comeback are slightly tempered by the fact that Ashwin is batting at 9.

It's R740 for the year in SA, which equates to ₹3462,07 Still not a bad price at all, but what a bizarre pricing difference.

Was 6 tbh. But yes, while I was a rabid cricket fan from a young age, I must admit that the only recollection I have from that game was owning a Proteas shirt that fit me like a dress, and being fascinated by the name "Deep Dasgupta"

Just saw this. Any reason why you didn't use Superbru? Our office Superbru pool is absolutely bonkers. Ton of fun.

This all could have been avoided if we hadn't lost Harmer to Kolpak. Philander/Maharaj/Harmer/Rabada definitely wouldn't need a Muthusamy at 7.

It's exclusively because Senuran is a spin bowler. Even the selectors have to agree that Mulder > Senuran.

7 is usually the position batted by the keeper, so low-mid 30s is passable. I think he could hold an average of 30+ in Tests.

To be fair, I do think Muthusamy is good enough to bat at 7 in Tests, and the selectors rightfully see de Kock as a genuine top 6-level batsman. So essentially the 6-7 spots are strong enough for a Test team, and the selectors thought an additional spinner might be useful in India. It's still a...

Cribb, I think I would agree with you if they hadn't put him at 8 in the batting line-up. It just makes no sense to do this if they don't intend on batting him at 8. And at the very least, the fact that it even crossed their mind to do it shows how little they back his batting. If he'd been...

To be fair to Muthusamy, he's bowled all of 5 overs, so hasn't exactly failed. It's the fact that he's only trusted to bowled 5 overs of the first 57 even when Piedt is getting destroyed, and is batting at 8, that makes this such a horrid selection.
