Australia's Future - The Real Tests

 Some of these touchy Aussie fans seem to taking a page out of the archetypal Indian Sachin, Kohli fanatic's book. Whats' next, proclaiming Smith "God"? Losing their rag so easily at any perceived slight to Smith, sad really.

Australia's Future - The Real Tests

This revisionism.. No he damn well wasn't. Only wound up bowling during Misbah's record fast century iirc. And he averaged less than thirty just last year in Bangladesh.

    Mitchell Starc v. Vernon Philander

Philander is closer to Starc in ODI's than Starc is to Philander in tests. That's how big a gap there is between them and why Philander is a much better bowler overall.

Well, obviously SA will be number one if they win 3-0 and 4-0 and India lose against England, but I was asking what was the minimum they have to do to get there. I want to know how much leeway and margin for error they have.

***Official*** India in South Africa 2017/18

Dravid was a sitting duck in South Africa and Australia (Aside from that one 2003/4 series with Brad Williams and Nathan Bracken and no Mcgrath and Warne).

What is the minimum SA have to do in these next two home series against India and Australia to get to number 1?

    Mitchell Starc v. Vernon Philander

Wonder if there's still any debate about this. Also remember Rabada being a "poor man's Cummins" from the same Aussie posters.8-) Next poll?

Dammit. Electricity shorted out and missed the last three wickets. Big Vern cleaning up.

SA are being a bit too casual now. Don't let them get close ffs. Finish them off quickly. Just need one wicket. Only the two tailenders left.

Lol at Marsh doing well here. Philander fodder, both of them.

No way is it Pandya. Has to go to the winning team in this case. Philander should be a cinch if he takes five. Probably still favourite even if he doesn't. Got the crucial wickets.

Perfect way to end the session.

Okay, with Pandya out now I feel confident. No more Gambhiring for me.

Right. Now can't let Pandya get away with another lucky innings. Have to get him early when he's struggling.

    And it worked again.

Anyway, I wouldn't celebrate on behalf of SA just yet. India still have Pandya in reserve and have sent Saha in ahead of him. All it takes is just a few lucky slogs or one partnership. SA have very little margin of error here.

Bad drop. Could be the turning point.

What the hell do you mean? Didn't Bangladesh beat Australia by 20 runs just a few months ago?

Heh. Can't believe that worked.

Damnit. South Africa have lost this now. Only three pacers, the sun has come out and the pitch is getting flatter. All it takes is one partnership.
