Choose the two opening bowlers for Post Packer World XI

Marshall and McGrath. The fact that McGrath's managed to have an average as good as 21 in a batsman friendly era is pretty special IMO.

    The Allan Border Medal

Gutted that Johnson didn't get an award. Definitely deserved something.

Which commentators irritate the pits out of you?

Disagree strongly with that. He can be a bit critical and grumpy at times but he usually has an interesting thing to say and is far from boring IMO. At least he is not overly biased and doesn't state the obvious all the time.

    **Official** New Zealand in Australia

Siddle is nowhere near that fast on average though. Most of the time he bowls high 130's to low 140's. He only really bowled that fast in 1 spell in 1 test match. I wouldn't really rely on him to ball that fast consistently.

Which commentators irritate the pits out of you?

John Howard and Kevin Rudd. Shouldn't let both of them anywhere near the commentary box. Out of the "proper" commentators it would have to be between Healy and Nicholas for the reasons everyone has already stated. Lawry is also a pretty bad commentator but at least he can be funny sometimes...

Matthew Hayden Retires - Tribute Thread ***Breaking News***

If you manage to average over 50 in any era as an opener, then you deserve to be called a great IMO.

What other side do you support?

Sri Lanka, mainly cos Kumar Sangakkara is a legend.

Matthew Hayden Retires - Tribute Thread ***Breaking News***

Great player and arguably Australia's greatest opener ever. The right decision, maybe left it a bit late but o well. Gets a lot of unfair hate IMO especially on this site. I think its a bit unfair to label him as an a-hole, and to also assume things about his personality such as him being an...

What Australian Team would you select to tour South Africa

Why would you make Hussey open? He's been great in the middle order for awhile now. Should just play a proper opener, rather than changing Hussey's role in the team when he is perfectly comfortable where he is atm.

    Bat Mallet or Ball Mallet?

bat mallet. While they both start off pretty hard the wood mallet stays hard, while the ball mallet gets softer the more you use it.
