Yeah, I doubt even Bradman ever saw a more incredible turnaround in all his 90 odd years

That is a massive relief. That second last catch was awesome and the last one not bad either. Michael Clarke you deserve this big time, well done son.

Maybe they are but rugby league is simply an awesome game, beats any other type of football for sure.

Well I am sure when Bradman played it was the norm but that is hardly normal anymore.

I am sure they will but in the long run it is up to Stokes to say "there you go, you just have to keep picking me. Selectors have very very short memories, they even tried to push Waugh out of the game for his last three years (scandalous for sure).

Well as an Australian I have had to put up with 8 absolute shocker years where hardly a series has gone our way. Had to put up with dozens of weak kneed batting collapses and watching just about every batting side on earth put our bowlers to the sword, yes I know, under Steve Waugh we were...

    Bowden can't catch for s***

That sounds like a real nightmare. I doubt any team would recover if they lost a test from this stage but. If a miracle occurs here England will easily win the next two and we would probably be waiting another decade. Lets just not go there and win the damn thing eh.

I would argue that saying that any bowling side losing from such an unbeatable position bowled really well as being totally preposterous.idea. In 135 or so years of test cricket no bowling side has ever lost a test from there.

So in other words, unproven players at the test level.

It would take a year at least to forgive such a disgrace. maybe a lot longer, I still haven't really forgiven the losses in '81

We have had some incredible shockers in that time but nothing to approach what this would be if the poms get their wish.

Not in the context, it was a response to the English bloke hoping for Stokes to get a double century, if he does England win. It's that simple.

I hold out some hope for Lyon, don't get me wrong but great Australian spinners have been very rare ever since O'Reilly and Grimmett, A great spinner is a bowler who destroys batting line ups on some sort of regular basis. You are right, no point in having five seamers.

If they pull off a miracle I doubt any Australian would watch the rest of the series, I sure wouldn't. I stopped watching the last ashes series half way through from disgust. Surely no team could ever choke that badly.

NO, that would mean England will keep the ashes... unacceptable. We would need to get the tar and feathers ready.
