Who will score the next triple

If someone smashed a triple against that attack it means that attack was poor on that occasion and the wicket probably a batsmans paradise. Obviously they are usually good bowlers. Not sure which match you refer to.though.

Who will score the next triple

Then you should look at the stats again. Hayden made a very fast 380

Which batsman has faced the most number of ATG bowlers?

Well they certainly did have all time greats, hell Maurice Tate was a great player, if what you say is true then it is an injustice. Bradman was simply god with a bat in his hand (don't get me wrong, I am not religious but he wasn't normal). The man was just too good and it's silly to say there...

Wisden names All Time World XI

I always come across a problem with the Windies quicks I have seen, there were so many that were so hard to separate, to me the finest exponent they had was Holding, but Ambrose was so scary and hostile and so was Roberts, that man was not to be messed with, NO ONE SLEDGED ANDY, that would be...

Wisden names All Time World XI

It is not Don's alleged team, IT WAS his team. What you say is tough to prove, especially with the fact that Bradman would not be available to play for Benauds team. Even a weakish side that has Bradman in it becomes very unlikely to lose. I can't remember the team Richie picked.

Wisden names All Time World XI

Well they were both like Rock stars mate, Miller had lived through the horrors of the air war, to him cricket was easy and meant to be fun and he reckoned facing fast bowlers much safer than facing a Messerscmidt. He came out of it in good health and from that day on Keith lived life to the...

Wisden names All Time World XI

Well the great man has his reasons I suppose. He might have wanted an international balance and already had enough Aussies in his team. Benaud's opinion is the opposite to say, THE DON's on this matter. He picked Miller ahead of all but Sobers.

Should the 2013/14 series be the final Ashes series held?

I am an Aussie but if that dude even thinks about assaulting Broad I hope Broad KO's him like Billy Slater did to that tool in Birmingham a few weeks ago, if the dude thinks he is that tough why doesn't he try belt Jarryd Waerea Hargreaves, or Sonny Bill Williams or basically any NRL rugby...

Should the 2013/14 series be the final Ashes series held?

Oh come on, bodyline was far different, if Lillee and Thomson had been able to use bodyline then that would have been way over the top and a death would have been likely. Australians had changed a bit since Bodyline times. You use the word whingers, but I recall that a short time after Learie...

Should the 2013/14 series be the final Ashes series held?

Seriously ?, you make a thread about such a stupid question, as if they would suddenly cancel the longest and greatest contest in world sport ?, a series established in 1880 that has gone from strength to strength. You can't be serious. As for agression and sledging this is childs play to the...

What if Mitchell Johnson gets injured?

    In a word.... NO.

An Extinct Breed ?: Great spin bowling allrounders

Thanks just been checking up on him and his returns are decent so far. I hope he goes on to greater things, so too for Bangladesh

An Extinct Breed ?: Great spin bowling allrounders

Yes mate he was, and he sure was funky, but this thread isn't really about those who just did ok, its about the more freakish end of the spectrum like the incredible Giffen who Grace thought was the best Aussie he ever saw. Giffen could smash you all over the park for a fast double century then...

An Extinct Breed ?: Great spin bowling allrounders

I am not very aware of who that is, excuse my ignorance, I only watch free television and refuse to pay to watch anything so I just get to see who is playing Australia.

An Extinct Breed ?: Great spin bowling allrounders

LOL, please don't make me go through hours of stats mate, just say who it is please. That is what I made the thread for, that and the fact that this is the rarest of all breeds in cricket.

An Extinct Breed ?: Great spin bowling allrounders

Yes mate you are right, Vettori has to be the closest to those guys in our time and I regret that I overlooked him. Vettori isn't a batsman of the Armstrong, Giffen, Faulkner or Noble and it would be stretching it to suggest he is. But he is special no doubt about it. very good call mate.

An Extinct Breed ?: Great spin bowling allrounders

I would argue that Smith has yet to get to that exalted status. I hope he does improve and get to that point.

An Extinct Breed ?: Great spin bowling allrounders

My bad guys... of course I forgot to mention Grace himself, he took lots and lots of wickets from bowling ultra slow gentle spin, but he was also ultra accurate he just gave you nothing. I wouldn't put him in the same class as Noble, Rhodes, Faulkner, Armstrong and Giffen though, they still rank...

An Extinct Breed ?: Great spin bowling allrounders

Once upon a time there were great spin bowlers who were also great batsmen, why did this breed of test cricketer seemingly die out ?. The last of the breed seems to have been none other than Richie Benaud and to a lesser extent Bob Simpson. Most of the great spin bowling allrounder were leg...

    Spineless pathetic bastards...

Mate any rotation policy is doomed to failure unless your nation happens to be overloaded with many great fast bowlers to choose from, so in England's case that would be a disastrous idea as it has proved for us Aussies. The idea makes sense if you have a Lohmann, a Trueman, a Larwood, a Bedser...
