***Official*** Ireland and Afghanistan in Zimbabwe 2015/16

For me this is clearly why it's a damn shame that the next world cup is only 10 teams. Bangladesh have clearly turned a corner (or at least it seems like it) but this clearly says there isn't much between the bottom 3. I don't why the ICC is being so stuck up about considering 12 team.

Greatest ODI batsman of all time

Probably something along lines of him being an SA choker that has never won the world cup... As far as longevity and quantity of games goes, I don't think anybody will beat Tendulkar's impact in international cricket anytime soon, and that goes for both formats. But as far as skills go, it...

Greatest ODI batsman of all time

I don't get this comparison at all. His case is nothing like Bradman's for starters.

Greatest ODI batsman of all time

All of that says more about his peers than him. It's not like Richards would be striking at 150 if you threw him in this era He played the way he wanted to play it, and didn't care about how others did it. Gutsy and courageous, but that doesn't just automatically make him better than every...

Greatest ODI batsman of all time

Unless his career ends REALLY REALLY bad, ABDV should be better than both by that time. Regardless of that, I don't doubt the ability of people with biased agendas to come up with excuses as to why he is not.

    Major League Baseball

Mets vs Royals then for world series. Great pitching vs. Deep batting line up, sounds pretty damn interesting.

    Major League Baseball

That was a horrendous call for strike on Revere at 2-1. All do credit to Royals, but Blue Jays will really feel it with some clutch decisions going against them this game.

    Major League Baseball

4-0 sweep wow, didn't expect such a comprehensive victory. It almost felt like a thrashing. Mets just seemed too good after beating Kershaw and Greinke.

Favorite sport(s) apart from cricket and soccer (football)?

It's a pretty big misconception that only Americans call it soccer actually. Even among the countries here, I believe soccer is still the dominant name for it in Australia/New Zealand. Though I hear there has been a push to call it Football in recent times. I'm not sure if it has actually worked...

Favorite sport(s) apart from cricket and soccer (football)?

Ahh tennis..What I'm finding boring about it now is that it's pretty much like the Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams show. I thoroughly enjoyed the Vinci upset against Serena at the US Open this year, but then Novak also came back to win 3 slams in the year... Maybe that looks somewhat double...

Favorite sport(s) apart from cricket and soccer (football)?

Yeah, if not for things like the World Cup I'm not sure if cricket would be up there for me either. Test cricket especially has been really trying my patience with it's never ending trend of home pitch bullying and also flat pitches to a lesser extent. I grew up loving the ATG Australian side...

Favorite sport(s) apart from cricket and soccer (football)?

It doesn't take a genius to deduce soccer (association football) would most likely be the 2nd most popular in this forum overall. Hence why I'm automatically cutting it down as an option. So I comprised a list of sports based on demographics of cricket fans, popularity of threads in this...

has Bangladesh replace Windies as a long term top 8

What format are we talking here? I'll be the first to admit how clearly wrong I was about their odi side, the results suggest they are better than WI, SL, and Pak there already. It wouldn't surprise anyone if they are a permanent top 5 odi team pretty soon, it maybe that they already are. But...

Hmmm... I don't know about that. I'll admit that I didn't grow up watching tennis before the 21st century but I know there was nobody like Rafa in the Sampras era. Nadal was almost a Demigod at Roland Garros and clay in general. I mean if we actually measure players based on the number of titles...

I mean it's Federer on one of the fastest courts on tour ffs. No way you can say he doesn't have a pretty decent shot at least. But different types of hard courts though. Novak is almost unstoppable on slow hards and I don't think even has any challengers apart from Wawrinka. Murray's best...

    *Official* Tennis Thread

Wow. If anybody seriously thinks Federer doesn't have what it takes to dominate on faster courts anymore after watching that, they are just being outright stupid. Novak might still be too good for him though. He did beat him on faster courts in Shanghai and Dubai but they are obviously not 5...
