Just thinking how it would suck for Marsh to get runs here but not be a part of WC considering the situation they have with Clarke, Bailey, and Maxwell..

    Minnows upsets against Test countries.

He does raise a good point though. Certain players loves to pick on the minnows, like Malinga for example. If he plays SL might just be the least likely to lose against a minnow.

Well there's the end of all that form Federer had since the USO. It's a great shame really that it had to be on a slam. I just hope he doesn't take it too hard and make any drastic decisions because of it. If the last couple of months has shown us anything it's that he's still got it and can...

Damn that's horrible. Had him as one of the favorites to win the open give his form of lately.

Might as well have the tail bat ahead of Bopara at death.

Horrible by Bopara. Just hit and get out if you can't move the score. 2 an over at this stage is crap.

He was bowling Starc and Cummins from the opposite ends then they should have been and it was already too late by the time he changed. I agree with the general sentiment though that captains are very often mindlessly blamed (and given credit for) for their players being crap (and good).

I feel like Aussies kind of set the tone with the first spell of filth they bowled, kind of set up by Smith's captaincy imo. If they end up losing today I believe it might be due to that.

Will this Turn USA cricket Around.

I expect any serious fan of professional sports to give each sport and it's hard work and difficulty the respect it deserves and certainly have more class than what I have seen in this thread, cricket forum or not. All of a sudden I don't feel so bad about Americans and their stereotypes of...

Will this Turn USA cricket Around.

No but this thread will get cricket fanboys to throw tantrums about baseball being inferior to cricket it seems like.

Don't mind Slater too much on average but Brayshaw living up to my initial hypothesis about him turning out to be an obnoxious commentator.

If Aus makes the final here like we expect them to there are 3 genuine ones since the one against UAE is pretty much a non-game anyways. They definitely need to rest Smith and Starc some. Cummins and Faulkner too to keep them fresh imo. Btw, Ali is just throwing his bat at the same direction...

Sandhu again and Henriques? Shouldn't Australia be trying out Hazlewood and M Marsh to get their WC sqaud practice? Not understanding this at all.

Get your bowlers to the right end already Steve Smith .

How much difference is that making at the professional level? Can't say I have seen much of it in results. Obviously whatever Hayden did would be a great example to follow as it did wonders for him. Or maybe it just sorted out the talent he already had so I don't know.

Crowd making the Dimitrov game more interesting then it would have been imo. Very Davis Cup like feeling here. He is gonna have to step it up to avoid the upset here.

Well in that sense comparing the 2011 whitewash to Aus and the attitude back then with this series is pretty useless too. Before this series I don't doubt anybody would have dared to say this so bluntly. Anderson/Broad are pretty good in England but they are hardly unstoppable. They sure...

That's the reason for all this home-track bullying and sucking oversees imo. Can't see it changing unless boards change their attitude about this.

It most certainly changed after England. It was around the first time I actually started Dhoni blame themselves for a change when it got so bad that they were just giving up. It's why they brought in Ravi Shastri too. I'm not sure how you miss all the media coverage on it, it was everywhere...

Back then it was that "come to India and then we will show you" attitude though. It's only after the England thrashing last year that I finally saw the attitude to improve oversees. I'm afraid all that will go to waste with the Aussie series because it will get to their heads imo. That's why I...
