You've said that Broad's presence would turn the test into a 'kangaroo court' and a 'witch hunt,' both terms to describe events with pre-determined outcomes. You've also said that my arguing for Broad's presence is because I'm more interested in getting Murali banned than finding the truth.

    the big 1-5-0-0

Although the forum really came to life with the arrival of the Bumfluffmeister last month. You don't have to thank me formally - I can tell your hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

Maybe tripling the limit was the best he could do. Maybe his real doosra is five times over the limit. I don't know. But what I do know is that he most certainly did not bowl in the tests in the same way he bowls in matches. Maybe someone should ask him why he did that. What was he trying to hide?

But why shouldn't he? Marc is saying that his presence would guarantee a guilty verdict. I'm asking why. Like I said earlier, I wasn't the one who suggested Broad be there, although I think that in terms of ensuring the credibility of the tests that it is a good idea for him to be present...

How is it irrelevant? You're the one who said that his presence there would practically guarantee Murali being found guilty. I asked you to justify your comment, and you still haven't done so. There's a very good reason for himto be there: to validate the action tested was the action reported...

So you're not going to answer the question then. Fine. Why didn't you just say that three days ago?

Oh no, not egg. Heaven forbid that should ever happen. Although if that really was a concern of his, would he have reported him in the first place, knowing full well that he wasn't going to have any part to play in the testing? Anyway, back to the original question - how would he have...

    Query

I was at that bloody game. I remember watching the ball fall into the fielder's hands and thinking, "Oh well, Klusener got us almost there, now Boje can see us home." Then I looked back at the pitch and saw that they hadn't crossed. Much loud swearing followed. Of course, there was also 'that'...

    The up'n'coming

SA really only have 2 youngsters in the team (Smith and Rudolph) although the rest of the team could hardly be called old. Another youngster might be added to replace Kirsten - Andrew Puttick more than likely, as JP Duminy is still very young. Boeta Dippenaar looks very effeminate, but this is...

    Query

Was that where he 'caught' Lance Klusener in the opening game?

No, I can't. And even if he did, how would his presence at the tests make sure that Murali would be found guilty?

I don't know. You make it sound as though he has some money riding on the result. What's he going to do? Give the science nerds wedgies and threaten to steal their lunch money if they don't conclude that he chucks? 8-) How is he going to influence the results of the tests, other than make...

What's Broad's vested interest? And even if he had one, how is his presence going to ensure that Murali is banned?

If you think I'm being paranoid about doubting the methodology of these tests, take a look at some of these reports: "Elliott confirmed that Muralitharan had returned to the university to repeat the testing after originally bowling 28 deliveries before 12 high-speed cameras last Friday. A speed...

Really? I wasn't aware that anyone else had reported him. And yet again, the question of how Broad's presence is going to ensure that he is banned goes unanswered.

How? Who else is going to confirm that the action used was the action reported?
