World Test Championship 2023-25 Points Table

Why dont you get my point. It was not easy for the Indians thats what I am saying. You seem to indicate it was like a walkover win to reach WTC finals.

World Test Championship 2023-25 Points Table

Give us a break. We beat Australia in Australia, have won two games in Englad, were up 2-1, even obliterated South Africa in a test in a bouncy two paced pitch thst saw us lose 6 wickets without adding any runs to the scoreboard. We even fended a Chittagong test with late order resistance...

Why cant each nation field exclusive "test only" players

Well tests have its own followers as they seem to have lifted our spirits in that version particularly (also by continually faltering in icc white ball events). I take pride in our test display in recent years.

Road to India in Australia 2024-25

India will give a tough fight though. And can even be considered the favorites if couple of batsmen goes berserk, they score huge in their first innings and draw first blood, India might win 2-1 yet again.

Why cant each nation field exclusive "test only" players

So as to have more test matches squeezed into the calendar without bothering about white ball series overlaps? For teams from sub continent it is a gamechanger. India for instance plays only 10 odd tests a year and that can be increased to as many as 20 in a year.

Road to India in Australia 2024-25

The Aussies will consider this series as a litmus test as two times in their home ground they lost to team C Indian squad with no fancy 150 kmph or genuine sharp leg spinner in the bowling line up with spare "nuts and bolts"/"net" bowlers (Natarajan) that too. They may even consider it their...

World Test Championship 2023-25 Points Table

Up against superpowers or minnows, irrespective, each test is won by winning important sessions. If one crusader thinks he is going to play real well to his 100%, it can change things. Winning happens there and not on who your opponents are.

Is Kohli only concentrating on IPL and not tests?

We know that he was missing for most of the time in Australia 2021 test series and vs Englsnd home series and not out of injury or fitness issues but these are personal time outs. He was probably not missed by and large. Yet shows his lack of intent or dedication to serve the national team.

Is Ravindra Jadeja an ATG test bowler?

The thing with Jadeja is he keeps bowling in one ark all day long and can get the batsmen bogged down resulting in an unforced error. Daniel Vettori was a similar kind of bowler. Lyon also is that kind of nagging bowler very different from those who try different variations.

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

I conclude from the sixty pages of discussion that Ashwin is indeed ATG.

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

Kapil Dev has just commented if the world's second best bowler is not played in test eleven, neither should India's best batsman Virat Kohli in T20I WC. So he is regarded high by an ATG himself.

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

How is one even measured on his own skills alone If the fielding standards were sub par and when one of the best fielding hands in business, Kohli for instance dropped a sitter a couple of years back where he even placed his hands on his head in vain venting his frustration - had he been an...

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

There are many non performing players in the team that can be replaced. Ashwin should have been like Murali or Warne, a permanent member in all conditions. Dont say there are no visible partial treatments going on. Ashwin had a 9 wicket tally in the match and Bumrah and Kuldeep were brought in...

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

I didnt say Siraj is from Karnataka. Karnataka, Mumbai, NCR and the rest of India are preferred over Tamil and Malayalee south Indian players. Thats what I said. And would Shane Warne or Murali be dropped for a say Kasparowicz or Damien Flemming just because the pitch assisted seamers? I would...

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

There is one more thing to consider. Being a non-Karnataka state south Indian, to seal a place in main playing 11 is a very hard task if not impossible as favouritism prevails among Mumbai and Karnataka belt followed by NCR. Generally even mediocre cricketers from north are given chances over a...

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

Points in favour 1) He has the most Man of the series in tests among Indian cricketers [including SRT, MSD, Kohli, Sehwag, Dravid] 2) Reached 500 club averaging 5.16 wickets a match[Murali and Hadlee are the only others with 5 wickets or above a test match stats above 400 wickets] 3) Has 36...
