OMG! Now I've heard everything.

Why is Lillee rated above Imran?

Not in my experience. There's a huge fanbase that does not rate Lillee because of those three tests in Pakistan. :@ The average CWer is much more knowledgeable about the game's history than your average cricket fan from outside. Hence, I feel that most quality players are rated appropriately here.

    +1

Players you wish to see in the current era.

    1) Fiery Fred, 2) Richard Hadlee, 3) Sydney Barnes and 4) Harold Larwood If allowed a fifth option, I'd go for Alec Bedser.

    Greatest Ever 'Taches in Cricket?

Some very good names thus far. Slightly surprised that no one has mentioned cricket's Adonis - the great man himself:

Mitchell Johnson out for the Summer?

Those are some major, major changes, friend. For starters, that better seam position thing would change his release position drastically and would screw up his bowling rhythm even more. What you described there are the fundamental building blocks of pace bowling. If every bowler could do that...

Why is Lillee rated above Imran?

Perhaps a poll would give a more clear-cut answer? Assuming that an answer entirely in black or in white is what majority of forumers are looking for.

Battle of Cricketers II - CW's Favorite Cricketer (now underway)

This is quite close as well. Donald though for having a wonderful bowling action in addition to being a great fast bowler, perhaps just as great as his adversary is.

Battle of Cricketers II - CW's Favorite Cricketer (now underway)

**** that! I call for a thorough investigation to be carried out. Ballot snatching and mutliple voting are aspects that need to be looked into. If not enough MQM members have CW accounts, it's also something that needs to be rectified for the future. :p

    *Official* West Indies in India

Don't see a reason, tbh. The track would progressively get bad and a difference of 50-60 runs in the first innings could decide the match. Idea should be to bat the hosts out of the contest. It's not the kind of track where Edwards and Rampaul just come charging in and nip out three before the...

    *Official* West Indies in India

The young lad could end up getting a 4-fer or a 5-fer on debut. Not a bad bowler this guy. The pace and the endeavour is there; just that I'd like to see some more skills with the ball. Maybe that's something that he'll learn with time, but at this stage even in fc cricket you can clearly see...

    Using the term "rape"

It would be cool if some moderator/senior forumer puts up a post specifying words and phrases that are deemed inappropriate. I got a rap on the knuckles once (and rightly so) for the usage of this particular word, even though in a harmless context. It's simply because I wasn't better informed...

Definite spring in the step now for the lad. Quick, aiming at the castle and could get some morale-boosting wickets now. Might as well bowl quick and straight since he's absolutely clueless as to how to nip the red cherry around. :D

Good first scalp for the Jharkhandi lad. He can say proudly in 2020: "My first test wicket was the batting legend Darren Bravo."

which is the most stylist player in cricket ?

The bot has started an ok topic, so I'll bite. Batsmen - Dravid, Bell, Amla Bowlers- Anderson and Zaheer Khan. Gets tougher after that. Kyle Jarvis, from what little I've seen.

No movement whatsoever! Sure the outfield looks quite green but there should be some reverse going on at this stage? People seeing this innings would realise what Arjun, I and a few others have been mentioning in the Indian domestic season 2011/12 thread. Varun Aaron doesn't have enough ball...

It's reasonable to guess which man would be more envious of the other in that department. :D
