    Ponting vs Sangakkara (against pace)

I'm not saying Ponting isn't better but how is Ponting way better when there's no evidence of that. Sangakkara has 3 ATG knocks in nz ffs. And would have had ATG ton in sa if not for poor umpiring (Centurion)

    Ponting vs Sangakkara (against pace)

If that's the case then why ponting doesn't have overseas series anywhere close to Sanga had in nz against pace of Bond @capt_Luffy

How does Ravindra Jadeja compare with Kapil Dev and Ian Botham ( Tests)

Not really, I just find Botham's resume much more impressive.

How does Ravindra Jadeja compare with Kapil Dev and Ian Botham ( Tests)

I think I need to be English first to have nationalistic bias for Botham

How does Ravindra Jadeja compare with Kapil Dev and Ian Botham ( Tests)

He was, 9 more hundreds, clear gap in rpi. Not everyone take jadeja's average on face value

How does Ravindra Jadeja compare with Kapil Dev and Ian Botham ( Tests)

Very nice. Now, let's see — RPI away from home: Jadeja 31.05, Botham 30.98. Barely a difference. Though, a bowling average difference of 7 is absolutely humongous, which means Botham was much better. And for one, don’t take the moral high ground by saying "muh which posters need to be ignored"...

How does Ravindra Jadeja compare with Kapil Dev and Ian Botham ( Tests)

You spam this logic in every second post. Ok fine why Gavaskar's record is worse than Williamson if he was better?

How does Ravindra Jadeja compare with Kapil Dev and Ian Botham ( Tests)

Botham's away record is far better than Jadeja. There's no maybe regarding whether Botham is a better player. Botham was a far superior batsman and clearly better bowler as well. No contest, not close.

    Everton Weekes vs Neil Harvey

That tells more about the audience here rather than them tbh. Both were rated as ATG when they were playing and until very recently when statsguru became household. Victim of crazy revisionism.

Was Neil Harvey an ATG Test Batsman?

Everyone who saw Harvey rated him as ATG, there are still many including Ian Chappell who rate him among top 3 Australian batsman since Bradman. His conditions adjusted numbers stands up well too. So many great performance in tough conditions and played some of the greatest innings of all time...

    All-Time World XIs: Discussion Thread

Barnes is arguably the greatest bowler to ever grace the earth, to call him weak spot is ridiculous and moving away from reality.

Most talented England cricketer since Ian Botham?

I think Freddie's bowling ability was even more than Beefy tbh

Most talented England cricketer since Ian Botham?

Actually quite like flintoff at 1. His bowling was something else.
