Ridiculous running with two balls to go!

    Graeme Swann

I'm pretty sure you're the one taking this too seriously. I love watching him bowl. I really wanted to see more of him and Panesar together with three seamers. I, a greedy cricket fan, wanted to see more of him, not less. I just don't like how he has retired. That's all there is to it. I don't...

    Graeme Swann

So did Swann inform Cook earlier of his retirement plans? I think it might have helped You might be able to figure why this looks rather poor given that he just had his butt handed to him (especially given the previous posts prior to mine). I'm just saying there's no shame in being blitzed, as...

    Graeme Swann

Wow...this is nearly as poor in timing as Mike Hussey's retirement was last year. 1.) Why did Swann not announce this earlier so that Cook could adjust accordingly? 2.) He does realize that there's no shame in being a spinner that was tonked in Australia, right? 3.) What does this say about...

The longer you're out there, the more likely something bad happens. That's all I meant

Who cares. Part of the advantage of batting time is that the bowlers are more likely to break down as time goes by. And they still have Kallis, Steyn, and Philander, and Tahir & Duminy were always expected to roll their arms. That's plenty deep.

But how will India's batting possibly survive without the EXPERIENCE of Tendulkar?! Impossible So they said...

Shaun Pollock has to be one of the most underrated test all-rounders. The result of playing with Kallis perhaps

I'm not saying Vijay will last as an opener or is anything amazing, but I like the fact that he has respect for the bowling and the conditions. Vijay will get out, but it's less likely to be for an idiotic reason

Talented Kohli showing me some excellent temperament. Only the first pull I questioned, but every other ball he has gone after has been a bad ball. Now don't **** it up

I think the problem is when he has to come in earlier. Dhoni coming in after 45 overs would be great. He can play some of the dirty village cricket shots Prior and Haddin notoriously play.

lol chill, it's morkel we're talking about here

Looked convincing on the pull but I wished he would wait a little longer before taking on the short ball. I fear he might do the same vs a morkel and get surprised by extra bounce he hasn't adjusted to yet

Shift your right hand to the left by the length of a key

Worst thing about Vijay's dismissal is that as an opener, he has to know where hisoff stump is and leave on line at least. The crappy footwork, Morkel pushing you on the backfoot, we get that. That might have slightly seamed away but it was never hitting the stumps despite the fuller length

Even if Vijay didn't make runs, facing 42 balls has value. I'm just hoping Kohli doesn't play some stupid shot now
