4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

My hot take is that I think Nasser gets too much crap for that decision. Let's look at the two teams head to head. At most that England side would've had maybe one or two guys making the Australian one. He could've crawled to like 280 batting first, but then Australia would've likely pounded on...

Though those Australian attacks were rubbish outside of one gun leggie. Fair few roads amongst them too.

Stokes is probably the only captain in history that wouldn't have batted first on this.

Even the 375 was against Caddick and Fraser (albeit one with little depth). It's really only that Pakistan double that was a double against a weak attack. Lara's ability to go big against good attacks is unparalled outside of Bradman.

    2025–26 Australian Domestic Season

IIRC he had gone to Tasmania to bat 3, and Wakim outscored him in the one match he played and Tassie Top 3 was perceived to be going well enough for him to not get a look-in. Might've struggled in 2nd XI cricket too?

    2025–26 Australian Domestic Season

Weatherald's season-by-season record: Honestly more consistent than I expected. I guess he might've been a bit rocks and diamonds in his game by game status and certainly there's a number of seasons where he's missed a fair bit of cricket, but there's only three seasons (discounting 23/24)...

    All-Time World XIs: Discussion Thread

Yeah depends on what we were judging. Guys with minimal Test careers because of factors out of their control (Richards and Proctor probably being the two really big ones) and guys who's reputation stems a lot from FC cricket (Grace and to a lesser extent Larwood) I always find tough to judge in...

Upcoming young batting prospects in your country whom you fancy would play test cricket

I think the most promising is Ollie Peake. That kid is a freak. Harry Dixon has a lot of Warner about him, reckon he could be the next aggressive opener for us. Not seen enough of him to judge but Hugh Weigben was the captain of one of the greatest U/19's crop we've produced so it's safe to...

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

No he blocked it. You would never have expected to block it and for it to roll onto the stumps anyway though. Bumrah might've had a Gabriel-esque dismissal though.
