    Twenty20 World XI

Interesting line up. On present form I certainly didn't think either Bopara, Gibbs or Morkel would feature. No Steyn, Botha, van der Merwe, or even maybe (the unthinkable ) Kallis?

Which International Team Do You Support?

To be honest - I don't even know in what league Germany is playing... it's just a bit far from home. If I would be able to follow them on TV, that might be different.

Which International Team Do You Support?

Would have voted for Germany - but that wasn't on the list.... Naa - until 1992 I didn't even no what cricket is. Than I arrived in SA and was just in time for the first series after readmission against India. (Kumble looked real sweet with those glasses..8-))... So there I was watching...

    20/20 Hype

I knew there was a bloke I kept reading about and couldn't remember his name. And this wasn't much help either. But I found him. Hugh Tayfield was apparently an excellent spin bowler in his time. I'm sure there is a spot for him somewhere...

I can't comment on your team - haven't seen most of them. I am also not to familiar with Australien batting talent in general and can only comment on what I have seen in recent times. If you have No 3's lined up who are as good or even better than Ponting - where have they been all the time...

Well - I like that. It is a dead rubber and young players need to be developed somehow. What a fantastic opportunity to do so. Maybe SA can avoid the huge break Aus are experiencing when key players retire or are injured. @precambrian agreed! Old Mac has used up his "played well in a couple...

If I would be the writer or/and publisher of this article, I would damn you for not giving credit.... But since I'm not - thanks for the Info.

I'll tell you that for nothing, Australia certainly don't want to loose against an SA team loaded with 2nd stringers. Lots to play for indeed.... SA will certainly be the more relaxed of the teams....

What other side do you support?

Voted NZ. I guess their setup and difficulties are pretty much the same as those the SA team faces. Rugby(or soccer)crazy nation for whom cricket only fills the empty spots. In NZ it just even appears more so....

    The Top 9 ODI Nations

Given that most folks here are Aussies, the poll was as predictable as an average election in Zimbabwe. I don't think there is a top ODI team right now deserving the spot. It's probably pretty much between Aus, SA an India. I voted for SA...just had to follow my heart.8-) longtom

    Should Matthew Hayden retire?

    Amen!

You see - that was obviously what I was hinting at. Easy to have an excellent climate when you are on top of the world...not so easy once you are not... Aussies only going to pull themselfes out of this together - a real test of character to which they are not used... longtom

Lee out of South Africa tour I know - some of the Aussies were calling for his blood and are probably happy - I, for once, reckon he is a very good bowler and an excellent sportsman. Great combination - doesn't appear to come to often and I will miss him here in February. More here...

Interesting passage in Neil Manthorp's diary on the Supersport website: "Sunday, December 28 ... Warne's question about Katich's bowling is put to vice-captain Michael Clarke after play: "I am not consulted about bowling changes and have no say in the matter," he says. "But you are...
