*Official* Fourth Test at the MCG

Hehehe. It's balls like that that cause me to briefly overcome my hatred of fast bowlers. There's no greater sound than that of ball on helmet

Third Name Listed for ATG XI

Not bad, but nothing other keepers couldn't do. Jack Russell did it loads of times

    Graeme Swann Appreciation Thread

This. Except I'd be reluctant to use the word "great" to describe Swann. Has some pretty big connotations that I'm not sure Swann quite meets. My word of choice would be "excellent".

Not entirely sure you have a complete grasp of randomness (randominity? Cheesecake?)

    Root's footwork there. Jesus.

*Official* Fourth Test at the MCG

Root's from Yorkshire. It's universally accepted that they stink. On top of all their other faults. Poor sods. God's forgotten people

*Official* Fourth Test at the MCG

Nah. After a quarter of a century of basically talking about nothing else at all, I've worn her down. She's even become a bit of a cricket nerd herself. She started comparing Collingwood and Carberry's fielding a couple of weeks ago, and came out with the comment "they even look like each other...

*Official* Fourth Test at the MCG

Oh **** off. Just got home from Christmas drinks at my uncle's. As I turned tv on, I said to my mum "what are the odds on Cook getting out in the 3 minutes it took the taxi to get here?" Then the first thing we see is Root striding to the wicket

Hiss and a roar then fizzle out XI

Frank Tyson has to be up there. In the first 12 months of his Test career he played 10 matches, took 58 wickets and had one of the great Ashes series. Then he played just 7 more Tests spread over 4 years, taking just 18 wickets.

    Your World XI of 2013

That's just flat out ridiculous. As if Ravi would let Wright outscore him at any time...

Third Name Listed for ATG XI

Controversial as this sounds, Hobbs would probably be my first name down. Then Bradman & Sobers. After that it's basically a toss up between five of the other 6 shoe ins for my side. Went for Warne in the poll ahead of Marshall, Tendulkar, Gilchrist and Imran, just because I felt like it

    Future England spinners

I'm getting sick of this talk about Kerrigan. He had one really, really, really, really bad day. But that's all it was (up to this point). If you judged everybody in the world on the worst day of their professional lives, everyone would be ****ing useless at their jobs. Secondly, what's horrible...
