If you look at Takam vs Bakole, Takam was actually doing ok when he pushed Bakole back, but he kinda lost confidence when he got hit a few times, and Takam's chin is getting a bit dodgy these days. You can't let Bakole take centre ring in my opinion. I think you either out gun him like Zhang...

Hasn't Bakole been in camp for the Ajagba fight?

I have never felt that Parker's footwork was very good. Yes, he has fast hands, but he has always made lots of technical errors with his footwork, and has consistently gased after round 5. That's been evident since as far back as the Takam fight, and never got corrected. I doubt that it's going...

Watch the Kabayel Chisora fight or the highlights. This is many years ago when Chisora was still a live dog - Chisora was 33 at the time. Kabayel outboxed him almost easier than Usyk did, and much easier than Parker did it. Not too many people make as light work of Chisora as Kabayel did.

Predictions: - Beterbiev vs Bivol rematch. think Beterbiev will be aware that he needs more activity. I don't know if there is much more Bivol can do, but there are adjustments that Beterbiev could make. Will go with the old man here. - Dubois vs Parker. This is all about punch output. Parker...

Probably about the 8th time in his career that Chisora should have been disqualified for low blows. Will never get called in the UK. But Wallin really showed nothing so it's hard to really care.

I really hope, for their sake, that AJ and Hearn don't spend months trying to negotiate for a fight. Even Frank must be getting sick of this rubbish.

Very difficult position for Nyika to be in, taking the fight on 3 weeks' notice. Obviously not ready for that type of fight at the pro level, and also not coming off a proper camp or being physically ready. But if he'd turned it down he may have never got another opportunity like that. Really...

Zurdo is a good boxer who basically just outboxed Billem Smith. He will not handle people who can keep up with his boxing skills, particularly people who are fast and athletic. Evidence is the Bivol fight. Opetaia's manager didn't respond because they're preparing for his upcoming fight. I am...

Zurdo wants absolutely nothing to do with Opetaia.

I wouldn't say he's protected. None of the UK cruiserweights will get in the ring with him. Taking on an unheralded guy like Nyika in January is 100% risk, 0% reward. So I cannot see how that's protectionism.

BTW, this is still the most competitive fight of Usyk's career and IMO the most underrated fight of the modern era.

Peak Usyk is about 8 years ago. His cruiserweight run is quite outrageous in what was possibly the strongest cruiserweight division in history. Went to every champ's backyard and took their belt. Even a very old Briedis still gave Opetaia the toughest fights of his career: that goes to show...

Was far less competitive than the first fight. The first fight by round 6 it actually felt like Fury had control of the fight. That was never the case in this fight: I don't think Fury every won more than a round in a row and never had any momentum. Usyk didn't really have to get out of 4th...

    Shane Bond - how good?

No way. Bond is a completely different bowler skill-wise from Ferguson.

Neither of them would have earned a slot to fight for the vacant belts. Would sooner see that opportunity to guys who have earned it like Bakole, Kabayel, Zhang, Parker etc.

It's so weird how they continue to claim Itauma is 6'6 after looking at least 2 inches shorter than McKean. There's nothing wrong with being 6'4 guys. Just ask @thierry henry Yes Usyk is still good but when you've already made FU money and have literally clocked boxing...why would you risk...

    Boxing thread

Pretty obvious why. Frank and Eddie want to make the big UK fights. All 3 of their top fighters have now lost to Usyk. Make that 5 if you include Chisora and Bellew.

    Boxing thread

Anyway if Fury and AJ want to do that fight it's still something people would watch and would be fun. Frankly, Usyk has nothing left to prove. If he did fight Dubois again and beat him, he would be 3 x undisputed - once at cruiserweight, twice at heavyweight) without a loss on the record which...

Try watching it without commentary. Fury won 2 rounds convincingly, the rest was 1 or 2 punches here or there.
