    Official Jasprit Bumrah fanboying thread

Player of the series awards in England, SA and Australia. On that measure alone this is already Marshall, Imran, Hadlee level body of work (and surpasses McGrath, Ambrose and Steyn)

    1st Test (Leeds) - 20th June

Bumrah's set up for Brook was stuff of legends. Shame it was a no ball 😞

    Official Jasprit Bumrah fanboying thread

I remember from an interview many many years ago that he rates Hadlee as the best bowler he faced. Incidentally in his statement he compared Bumrah with Hadlee also because of lack of support for both.

    Official Jasprit Bumrah fanboying thread

Sanjay Manjrekar says the only bowler who had a similar aura was Richard Hadlee. Manju always rated Hadlee the best he has faced so that's huge praise.

    Malcolm Marshall's cutters

Venkatesh Prasad bowled leg cutters with some success. His pace was already very modest so I believe he didn't have to cut down the pace with his cutters. Haven't seen many pace bowlers in recent times try leg cutters. Off cutters are more common; Bumrah bowls them often.

    Malcolm Marshall's cutters

Looks like you agree with me. That picture alone has little insight. If someone trains you on the field over a period of time there's going to be lot more to it.

    Name the test Cricket Trophy

Yeah those two are practically different generations. Anderson likes it though. https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/james-anderson-chuffed-after-england-india-test-series-named-anderson-tendulkar-trophy-1489531 I'd have saved Tendulkar's name for Lara-Tendulkar trophy. Call this one...

    Name the test Cricket Trophy

India-England trophy name has been changed from Pataudi trophy to Anderson-Tendulkar trophy. Kapil Dev doesn't like it.

    Malcolm Marshall's cutters

Yeah what's the insight? Everyone knows which direction to roll fingers. It's about the ability to do it with control and pace.
