    Cricket Books

A favourite book of mine, although not sure how great the general appeal of it would be (!), is "Cricket and the Law". Fascinating book, and for anyone who wants to see cricket in a novel light this would be it.

New Cricket Trivia - 'SJS format'

Is it related to a boundary being scored, and the resulting number of runs being abnormal?

New Cricket Trivia - 'SJS format'

Did the keeper miss the ball? Or did he do something out of the ordinary with it?

Well perhaps to be fairer to him, he was merely describing the book in a way the authors would be proud; or put another way: YES!

Well, I could of course counter that by saying I killed someone in my library, and the blood spattered everywhere:ph34r:

Oh no it is some satirical nonsense. I've got a reprinted edition of it. It is quite profusely illustrated with nonsensical things. Worth getting though, will probably give you a laugh, and you can pick it up quite cheaply.

Bodyline's site is being redesigned; their current site is http://www.wisdensonthenet.co.uk/ And to answer Fred's question, this was before the "Olympia Incident"

I don't think Bodyline do have any more of the leather ones in stock, at least they didn't a month or two ago when I e-mailed to ask them. No harm in asking though of course.

    Tour of Lords

I've been on 4 of them! All have been very good, and each time had a different guide. Can't really add much to what has been said, although what has been interesting is that no 2 tours have been the same, in terms of content or places visited. Would highly recommend them.

Sure, number of books, well I'm currently cataloguing them, so can't be precise, but we are talking about 1500-1700. And have spent way to much on them, especially as Fred said, I'm 19. Those darn limited editions! I haven't got any extremely rare things, probably most valuable thing is the...

Not wanting to steal Fred's thunder, but there was a review on cricinfo, which it stated would be published in next month's TWC.

Yes, I'll let you know what it is like. As Fred said I've got Mack's one on 1884 (along with a few of his other facsimilies). Just in the process of cataloguing my books at the moment (as Fred knows, I have bought a couple of duplicates of things, from not knowing whether I already have a book...

    ***Official*** Great Articles of Cricket

Hi, This'll give Fred a shock; I was the sod who out bid you on the Mack publication (actually arrived in the post yesterday). Quite odd I found this thread actually, was googling "Cricket Lore" volume 5, and this was on the first page of results (!), 4th from top actually. Just been catching...
