New Cricket Trivia - 'SJS format'

Your answer is wrong, and just to add a batsman can be out in more than one way off a no ball. He cannot be out in any method for which a bowler gets credit; meaning he can still be out: run out, handling the ball, hitting the ball twice, or obstructing the field.

Dear oh dear, it isn't as simple as that Fred!

New Cricket Trivia - 'SJS format'

Well, I suppose I ought to do a question in a similar sort of vein! Incidentally, Zaremba, drop me an e-mail at wisden18@gmail.com would send you a PM but can't seem to on this forum. Very simple (!), for the answer I'd like a number and an explanation: A ball is delivered, and the umpires...

Indeed it is. Is there any relation there? I'm unaware of one (that said my above answer to your question could have been more helpful!)

New Cricket Trivia - 'SJS format'

It would appear not. Is that Paul Nixon you are thinking of? Either way I'm not sure of her entire family tree, but I would presume that there is not relation to any Nixon.

Of course (!), they all scored centuries for Lancashire.8-)

New Cricket Trivia - 'SJS format'

So we've had "all played for Lancashire", "all captained" and now "all coached" all of which aren't the answer. Clearly something to do with Lancashire, have they all played in a match for a side that has gone on to win the County Championship (either 1XI or 2XI)?
  16. W

New Cricket Trivia - 'SJS format'

Well a bit tenuous, but they all played for a Lancashire team, and subsequently went into coaching (?)!

    Cricket Books

Oh yes, I have that. It was done in a limited edition deluxe version as well (I don't have that (yet!)). Also Goldman did one of the most dull books ever written "Cricketers and the Law" which is just a list (pretty much, literally) of English lawyers who have played cricket.

    Cricket Books

Well it's a book written from a lawyer's perspective really. David Fraser is the author (a Professor of Law and Social Theory) and he looks at things such as bodyline, chucking, ball-tampering, sledging, walking, use of technology and other areas in a novel way. For Australians especially, the...
