*Official* Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025

I suspect he'll have much more support around him vs. SRT's days around coping & dealing with things.

    Neil Wagner vs Jason Gillespie

Yep Wagner clearly for mine if you followed their respective careers closely. If you just looked at the stats you could be fooled into thinking it's Dizzy.

*Official* Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025

Yeah, nah. Boult still makes my top NZ side across all formats all other things equal. It's unrealistic but If I was picking for the 4 Test series in Australia in 18 months, he'd make my 4-prong pace attack along with Henry, O'Rourke & Jamieson (with Sears next cab). Yes we have some good...

    Rank your country's commentary team

NZ's TV one crew must be close to the worst of all-time, with Katey Martin (she's actually quite good) & Mark Richardson the only two I can even stomach. As soon as hear one word from Scott S, the TV goes on mute.

And Lockie leaves the field after a 2 ball spell. Thanks IPL.

Players who would have had better careers for different countries

KW would have a better record than Root if he was born in England * runs away quickly

    Age faking by sc players

Conspiracy theory for mine, there's no issue. I have it on good authority that Shahid Afridi just turned 30.

For me; Seifert + Allen Ravindra Conway/Jacobs Chapman Phillips Bracewell Santner Henry Ferguson O'Rourke/Sears/Duffy (form dependent) Only argument is Rachin to open with Seifert at 3 for the right/left combo, but I'd be tempted to stick with Seifert/Allen regardless from what we've seen in...

Players who would have had better careers for different countries

Stole my thunder. I've always maintained Crowe would have averaged 55+ if born Australian, and even with the same injuries would have played a similar number of Tests despite debuting aged 22-23 & not 19 as with NZ. I suspect he would have seriously dominated those relatively weak English Ashes...

With that solid little not out Ravindra's IPL batting record to date suddenly looks more than decent

    *Official* Pakistan in New Zealand

That shouldn't at all be a factor though mid a world tournament when they'd already picked Conway in the squad ..... at that point it's about the best XI to win games.

    *Official* Pakistan in New Zealand

Yes agree, unfortunately for Mitchell he hasn't got a lot of natural attributes to fall back on when he's out of nick compared to other batsmen who still seem to find ways to score when in bad form.

    *Official* Pakistan in New Zealand

Well let's hope he gets the memo then if that's all it takes. Just to qualify my statement, I'm not calling for his head I'm just saying the selectors should be equally open to replacing him on form as they did with Conway -who incidentally I still feel was unlucky to be overtaken by Young in...

    Richard Hadlee VS Jacques Kallis

Fair, although Hadlee's bowling & Kallis' batting and you're arguably rivalling Bradman as the greatest cricketer of all time, and streets ahead of Sobers.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Oh It's 'the son of'? I hadn't realised. Was he getting shape? Who can forget his father's most famous dismissal?
