    Matches Played Draft

In. First draft I ever played was called a mixed experience draft by Zinzan, had a very similar style to this one.

    Harry Brook

Well yeah, but's it's hard when 90% of your arguments online are with pig headed yanks

    Harry Brook

I've always associated "take the L" style comments with someone who badly wants the convo to stop on their terms

Great lower order batting teams in history?

Steve O'Keeffe has a similar question over his batting to Hogg imo. Averaged 25 w/bat in FC and I think he was good enough to bat 7 at one stage Absolute nailed on 11 the last however many big bash seasons though, as well as batting pretty low in tests iirc

Great lower order batting teams in history?

Oh, and its also probably for being a whisker away from having 2 test hatricks

Great lower order batting teams in history?

I think it's being a big part of some very famous WC matches (in 96 and 99) which lead to his legacy being perhaps inflated in my mind. He's featured in plenty of '99 highlights

What is the most difficult cricket shot to successfully pull off?

I found lofted cover drives fairly natural to play, got 18 runs in an over once all from shots through point and cover Hooks and pulls I never really got the hang of to do consistently. Got struck in the ribs and gut a few times then just put it away more or less. Only against spinners could I...

Great lower order batting teams in history?

Fleming is one of those players where it's crazy he only played 20 tests. Felt like he was a way bigger part of the side

    Harry Brook

Brook has had the Labuschagne start to his career(after 30 tests he'd scored 10 tons and averaged 60) but he'l drop back to earth soon enough

Great lower order batting teams in history?

Retirement an interesting word there. You may remember he spilled a catch over the boundary for 6 in the '99 WC SF

How much did slip cordons affect McGrath's and Wasim's records?

Remind me, which country was against bringing in DRS, the most useful tool for fairness in cricketing decisions? *mic drop*

How much did slip cordons affect McGrath's and Wasim's records?

I'll leave this here as I saw someone minimising pakistani umpire effect earlier

Stylish Elements for Cricketers that Didn't Help Them

I mean where to start with Maxwell. His effort in the field and while bowling shows how much winning means to him, how its unfair to call him uncommitted or anything like that But his shot selection while batting, the fact he's allergic to using a bit more discipline re hitting balls on the...

    John Woodcock's 100 Greatest Cricketers

Zimbabwe only have to have two filler players as Andy probably deserves a spot. I'd say only 4-5 kiwis are worthy of consideration on an all time top 100 list

    John Woodcock's 100 Greatest Cricketers

The implied removal of the bias with the "extends beyond English people" part resonates with me though. There's a lot of nationalistic bias on CW when comparing players (which can be pretty fun don't get me wrong)

    John Woodcock's 100 Greatest Cricketers

Lara had the 501 and 375 so I get his ranking a little more. I guess the 96 WC did a lot for Sachins reputation

    John Woodcock's 100 Greatest Cricketers

Had Sachin done that much by 1997 to be top 30? Predates even desert storm and the taming of Warne

What if we throw Knott in there too?

The greatest non-allrounder at their non-specialist discipline

You're the only person I've encountered who considered Flowers keeping thaaat bad. He took plenty of international dismissals
