With a bit of luck Southee will put his back out swinging at these

In all honesty, Bethell looks a potentially good player. He has a simple setup, sound defence and seems strong against the short ball. I think similar to Rachin his biggest weakness looks to be in errors of judgement, where he's trying to play a shot to a ball that's not there for it, rather...

I've only just realised that O'Rourke only bowled 3 overs before lunch. Like, do we actually want to try and get them out?

Hahaha I was picking Henry to get Crawley this over, but that is not the way I expected

Why have we taken third slip out - the ball is swinging, Crawley plays with hard hands, stop being spooked by 2 shots ffs

So here he is with the first over. England 14-0 by the end of it I reckon

Having watched England take wickets by bowling at the top of off watch us now try and bounce them out for a catch in the deep

England should probably be fined 150 runs for the celebrappeal I reckon

Had been looking really good too had Smith. Oh ffs this is just woeful. Lucky we've got Tim Southee at number 11, he made 77 once against England did you know

Ball suddenly started moving plenty for Carse here after his first over was quite straight. Smith with a lovely couple of shots there. Just another 20 or so of them plz

It's the way Blundell is squaring up as well. He's setting himself up in his stance and the weight is going backwards, he's too open and the back foot keeps going out towards point.

I blame David Gower for talking about how the heavy roller had flattened the pitch out literally the ball before the wicket.

It's a good ball that but Blundell should really be going forward to that length. Not actually sure it moved all that much

Good effort by Blundell as nightwatchman

Blundell is squaring himself up horribly here. Being a good player of pace was always his thing but he looks totally out of sorts

There's plenty in this pitch from what I've been able to watch so far. Pace and bounce and seam movement. Feel like England night be a bit over par with 280
