I'm guessing this is due to his IPL batting? Before this series, he averages 21.xx with the bat in 23 FC games with 2 50s while averaging 26.xx with the ball at about 2.5 wpm. Obviously though he isn't a total bum with the bat as his FC average would indicate.

2nd test Australia: Khawaja: 3/10 - Harsh to judge on one innings, hung around for a bit. Sweeney: 7/10 - A very solid and patient effort to see out the new ball. A proper opener’s knock. Closed out the game. Smith: 1/10 - Not fair, only one innings to judge etc. Labuschagne: 8/10 - Wasn’t...

2nd test India Jaiswal: 2/10 - a duck when needed most and too little too late in the second innings Rahul: 4/10 - first innings knock came at a critical time but it was just a glorified start overall and he didn’t do much to improve his rating later. Gill: 6/10 - A couple of pretty 30s are...

Australia in the first test: McSweeney: 1/10 - Mostly just awful luck to debut in the middle of a generational Bumrah game. Khawaja: 1/10 - Two big contributions in the game unfortunately to Australian collapses. Labuschagne: 0.5/10 - On some days, it’s better to burn out than to fade away...

I'll do mine for India in the first test: Jaiswal: 9.5/10 - More than made up for his first innings duck in scoring volume with a massive hundred opening with a thin lead in a low scoring game against world class bowling. Didn't really give much of an honest chance to the bowlers. The...

Across both innings, Bumrah had figures of 5 wickets for 10 runs in 8.2 overs (50 balls) bowling to the top 4 this test with a bowling average of 2 and SR of 10. If Kohli had not dropped the dolly from Marnus at slip in the first innings, Bumrah would have had figures of 6 wickets for 10 runs...

I mean if you do take that path and have the stomach to watch international test/FC cricket like a job every day with focus and are constantly monitoring for niche value bets, test cricket is a pretty good sport to get an edge. Leagues like NBA/NFL/IPL are absurdly saturated and competitive.

Series is still very much in the balance. India's batting line up is equally frail and our bowling in Australia is overly reliant on Bumrah bowling out of his mind to take top order wickets. If Bumrah doesn't bowl an ATG spell on Day 1, the game would have looked radically different.

Contrary to his reputation, Pant is usually a pretty disciplined and reserved batsman for the first 30-50 balls in Australian conditions and doesn't do **** like this before he's set. In 13 innings/8 tests before this, Pant has never scored less than 25 (38) in Australia in an innings. He has...

Jaiswal's four centuries have come at strike rates of 44, 72, 91 and 54. The range of scoring pace between those scores is pretty remarkable and shows his adaptability.

Normally even 300 would put India as a historical favourite against that batting line up but the problem is that if we lose 30 runs for 9 wickets, it would suck all momentum from India. We would be comfortable favourites with 350, massive favourites at 400.

Hope they surprise me but I’ll take 60/3 (180) from No. 3-5. Quick wickets are the real killer.

Jaiswal looking to be aggressive for no reason. You have unlimited time and the bowling is world class. Why? Grind the pacers down.

Great innings from Rahul. Now our ass middle order has to at least put on a few cameos.

What a way to bring the century up. What a start to a career. Love to see how happy Jaiswal is. You can see it meant the world to him. Hope he realises the opportunity he has after putting in all that hard work and locks in even more.
