miandad in the slips greeted gavaskar by saying that he will get his catch in the slips in the first over. gavaskar took no notice. well in the frist over, on Imran's bowling miandad surely got the chance and grabbed onto the catch! There wasnt anyone more hysterical then miandad and no one more...

    Great Run Chases

Miandad and Asif Iqbal chasing the Indian total in the fourth innings, in late 70s was supposed to be another legendary run chase, they were chasing around 200 in the last twenty overs of a test match. My mom still talks about it, and supposedly the running between the wickets was unparalleled.

    Great Run Chases

Most people on this forum are too young to remember that. Thats undoubtedly my most precious cricketing memory.

    most talented young player!

7 tests for an average of 54 and 19 ODI for an average of 50, is though not a long stretch but enough to say he is a talented young player, and since these averages are not a result of one massive innings (like 250+), or one massive series (Kambli), I said he is consistent.

    most talented young player!

I have never seen yasir hameed play but he has been unbelievably consistent, and has put together an excellent record in a short time.

Sir Donald Bradman & One Day Cricket

I think personally its very difficult for me to judge how bradman would have fared in todays cricket, with different style of bowling, wickets, umpring, etc. That goes for ODI and tests alike. But if there were ODI cricket in those days his feats would definately have been extraordinary and...

    comical error in cricinfo

Energizer Bunny Here is the energizer bunny, which was one of the popular commercials for a long time in North America. But maybe duracell have copied that as well.

    comical error in cricinfo

This was written in the cricinfo daily bulletin for ind/aus test. Even though it was a well written article, this was quite comical unless there has been a diferent advert in the rest of the world that I have missed...the bunny was of energizer and not duracell, and it was quite well-known...

    Brian Lara's form in 2003

Thanks Neil, I could not have put it better :) Its so frustrating when people say this kind of crap. I remember in one fo the threads someone pointed out that Gilchrist's average was high because there had been a lot dropped catches on his batting!! I just about fell out of my chair on that one...

    Best technique

martin crowe was not only good against spin but also against fast bowling. I remember the series against Pakistan when Waqar Younis was at his peak. Crowe looked in no problem at all. I dont think I have seen anyone play pacey swing bowling so late.

Worst fielder atm in international cricket

    Best technique

I have been watching cricket for the last twenty years or so and I dont think I have seen a more solid batsman than Martin Crowe.
