    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

They had this exact problem back in the first year of Bazball (2022? - New Zealand were touring) where the new balls behaved fine but they went too soft too quickly and it was very hard to take wickets with the old ball. Seems like this year's batch have the same issue.

Smith has left the Rob Quiney areas behind imo.

Ok so Stokes is injured, Carse is carrying an injury and Archer may not be Test match fit. Means the plan is simple: -Bat all day today -Woakes to take some wickets with the new ball tomorrow -Bashir to spin them out twice.

  8. Red_Ink_Squid

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Good to see him reverting to his mean after a very brief blip.
  9. Red_Ink_Squid

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

True, though Warne's broken nail sadly prevented him from bowling at anything more than 30% of his normal capacity. Whereas Pant's broken nail has levelled up India's keeping tenfold.
  10. Red_Ink_Squid

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Weird seeing these two come together at 150/3 and it be after the lunch break.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

    India missing Prasidh here.
  12. Red_Ink_Squid

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

He's the only bowler I can recall seeing complete an over slightly before he'd started it. He is an over rate cheat code.
  13. Red_Ink_Squid

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Need to see off Reddy and look to score off the other 3 seamers.

Rob Key demands a minimum of 2.
  15. Red_Ink_Squid

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Sometimes the bowler is too good for the batsman.
  16. Red_Ink_Squid

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Brook should score big on this if he doesn't do something daft.
  17. Red_Ink_Squid

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Just the two finest opening bats of this generation making it look that way.
  18. Red_Ink_Squid
