Top 5 Australian Fast Bowlers of all time

Starc has been solid since 21/22 Ashes tbf. Incidentally that was the point Cummins took over so there might be an effect from that but the main change was obviously the wobble ball that he developed bowling so he has something to fall back on to when the swing stops conventionally and no...

There batting was still significantly superior to what Hazlewood was bowling at and not to mention the flatter nature of the wickets. Can't recall whether Gayle was there but lara, chandrapul, sarwan, adams etc were a class apart compared to club level batters they have now. Gillespie bowled...

Australia were certainly losing that final test as they were mentally shot after Manchester. Cummins in particular was gone at that point and I don't blame them because they played like 6 games in what? 4 weeks? Australia's had their chance at Headingley. 130 ahead with only 3 wickets to get in...

Would you not think India would have won the Border Gavaskar trophy had they won the infamous Sydney test all those years ago?

*Official* Australia Tour of West Indies 2025

That does not stop the fact that they throw away a perfectly good opportunity to win a test at Delhi which would have gone a long way towards winning the series Not to mention the 2017 series that they really should have won. Until NZ did the unthinkable, Aust was clearly the most competitive...

Or wouldn't have. Without getting in to the butterfly effect, I'd say the chances of winning the series would have been significantly higher from that point had that game was won instead of going 2 zip down

Second game. Made 270 odd and had India 130 for 7 before letting them back in. Then basically 80 for 2 in the second innings before deciding to sweep good length balls. Two good sessions from each of those points and they win that game

They needed atleast a single series win in England or India tbh to achieve true greatness. The frustrating thing was they were probably 2 good sessions away from winning their last 2 assignments each in England and India but just couldn't close it out

*Official* Road to the 2025-26 Ashes

Smith, Head, the lower order and the bowling attack will get this done but I get the feeling that'll be the last Ashes win that they'll taste for a while If you cast your eye to the future, England won't change much for the next 4 years whereas Aust will be unrecognisable say the next Ashes in...
