Thanks. I used log (span of active years). So for someone who played from 1990 to 1999, it's log (10) = 1.

Thank you. I have never worked with logs before, so could you give me some more examples. How about for someone who played 15 years and someone who played 5 years? Thanks.

It's basically a function that grows slowly. Log (20) = 1.301. So for twice the length of career you get 1.3x the multiplier, significantly lower than linear 2x.

Specifically for 15 and 5 years that you asked: log (15) = 1.176, log (5) = 0.699
