How many wickets has Zampa gotten bowled/LBW off people trying to cut him off the stumps? Surely people would have cottoned on by now that that's just not a good idea.

The composition of this team suggests they know that. The thing is the allrounders contributed 2 between the 3 of them! :laugh:

I mean a lot of criticism of the way Aus's top order went about it tonight and it certainly isn't pretty or subtle, but strategically it makes sense: 20 overs is so short that if you just keep attacking, and stack your order full of power hitters all the way down to 8/9, then more often than not you'll get a big score regardless of how many wickets you lose.

I'll leave the question of what that says about the format for another time.

I just stopped comparing T20 and the other formats in terms of players and strategies and I enjoy it more now. It’s a game where someone like Tim David is equally as valuable as a Steve Smith and that is still a wild thought.

It is incredible skill but it's absolutely right that they're no longer going to allow that to be a catch, it looks so goofy
