The composition of this team suggests they know that. The thing is the allrounders contributed 2 between the 3 of them!A lot of work needs to be done on our T20 team , heard we are ranked 8th in the World for powerplay runs since the beginning of 2024 ..
No way you can be successful in this format if you aren't a boundary orientated team , our fielding is not good enough either.
I mean a lot of criticism of the way Aus's top order went about it tonight and it certainly isn't pretty or subtle, but strategically it makes sense: 20 overs is so short that if you just keep attacking, and stack your order full of power hitters all the way down to 8/9, then more often than not you'll get a big score regardless of how many wickets you lose.A lot of work needs to be done on our T20 team , heard we are ranked 8th in the World for powerplay runs since the beginning of 2024 ..

Wait till November. You will get to hear star sports jokers. Mark waugh would look like Richie benaud in front of themJeepers this is going to be a long series listening to these idiots. Isnt it a requisite as a commentator to get your facts right.
My volume is set at half and my ears are bleeding
I just stopped comparing T20 and the other formats in terms of players and strategies and I enjoy it more now. It’s a game where someone like Tim David is equally as valuable as a Steve Smith and that is still a wild thought.I mean a lot of criticism of the way Aus's top order went about it tonight and it certainly isn't pretty or subtle, but strategically it makes sense: 20 overs is so short that if you just keep attacking, and stack your order full of power hitters all the way down to 8/9, then more often than not you'll get a big score regardless of how many wickets you lose.
I'll leave the question of what that says about the format for another time.

I think it was the right decision , there has been dew about , we just haven't been good enough ..In hindsight probably a mistake to bat second.
upon reading the article I'm not so sure that this particular type of boundary catch is gonna be illegal: https://www.espn.com.au/cricket/sto...ule-make-boundary-catching-bunny-hops-illegalIt is incredible skill but it's absolutely right that they're no longer going to allow that to be a catch, it looks so goofy
