5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

I might be talking absolute wham here as usual. But the camera showed us Smith padded up a few times and I didn’t notice Bethell. Have they switched them round in the order?

I certainly don't think England's batting approach is above criticism at all but I absolutely cannot fathom the number of people (not here) bemoaning the fact that England don't approach this chase like past teams... who were, objectively, much worse at chasing than they are
Yeah, they weren't going anywhere playing sedately. Kept India in with a sniff even when they weren't losing wickets. Reverting to type has instantly put that pressure back on us. If we're good enough we'll respond else well done, England I guess.

Imagine losing a series 3-1 with 3 bats scoring over 500 runs in a series , something which the great Sachin Tendulkar never managed in his entire 200 Test Career ..Crazy don't think that has ever happened before.

Pant had 479 runs before he got injured probably would have made that 4 batsmen.

Whatever it takes!!!
Gill's reluctance to use spinners is pretty infuriating

We are not winning this if we expect our 3 seamers to take all the wickets
Yeah is extremely unimaginative as a captain. Early days though. Hopefully he picks up but he really strikes me to be the Azharuddin/Rohit sort than the Virat/Ganguly sort. :(

Yeah he basically got those in 6 innings where he was fit.

India can still win this match but that doesn't take away fact that gill is **** captain and Fielding coach needs to be sacked
